On Tuesday, October 6, Dr. Eric MacDonald, Head of Middle School, presented at the Keystone State Literacy Association's 59th Annual Conference in Pocono Manor, PA.
Together with Lynne Dorfman from Arcadia University and Aileen Hower from Millersville University, Dr. MacDonald presented "Meaningful Student Reflection Across the Day, K-12," about the importance of reflection for student learning. They shared evidence pointing to the need to incorporate space for reflection throughout their day to create safe accountable spaces where risk-taking is valued, and where students engage in self-examination to gain new insights. In particular, Dr. MacDonald focused on the importance of reflection for students learning how to use AI effectively and responsibly.
