Good luck to Walden alum Jonathan Wert as he heads off to begin his freshman year at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut’

Jonathan will continue his academic and athletic journey as a member of the track & field team on a track scholarship. After an incredible senior season at Garnet Valley High School (including a gold medal in the 4x100 relay and a silver medal in the 100-meter finals at the Pennsylvania State Championships) we know he’s ready for this next chapter.

We can’t wait to watch Jonathan succeed both in the classroom and on the track. Wishing you all the best, Jonathan!

We cannot believe it’s August 11th! Where has the time gone?! It was a great summer 2026 at the Walden Summer Program…. Campers finished their last day with Rita’s & a bouncy house.

Our campers all summer long enjoyed the sunshine, crafts & games, and many STEM challenges. Our older elementary campers also went all over the place on weekly field trips to places like the Delaware Nature & Science Museum, the Brandywine Zoo & Brandywine River Museum.

We’re getting the building ready for the first day of school now, follow along for more updates from Walden as we look forward to the first day back🍎💙🤍

Congratulations to Walden alum Reagan Peri on graduating Summa Cum Laude from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology! 🎓💙🤍

Reagan attended Walden from age 3 through 8th grade, and it’s fun to look back at this photo of her doing pouring work in Primary alongside her recent graduation photo. While a lot has changed over the years, her commitment to learning has remained constant.

The Summer Program is buzzing this first week for “Outdoor Odyssey!” Campers are exploring nature, making bug hotels with painted bug rocks🐛 🐞sun prints (shadow cast prints that appear on special paper when wet) and solar ovens. Our older campers also had their first field trip to the pool! Happy Summer!

One of our favorite parts of the year is to come together at our end of year assembly and to celebrate our fifth graders. Students in elementary school also share what they’re most proud of. This year’s most popular proud moments included reading and writing accomplishments, and Bill Peet Day and biography presentations 🎓💙🤍

Congratulations to Lucia and Edward as they complete their journeys at Walden and prepare for exciting new chapters ahead! From preschool beginnings to years of growth, leadership, friendship, and learning, both students have made a lasting impact on our community. 💙🤍🎓Lucia will attend Westtown School, while Edward heads to Delaware Valley Friends for middle school this fall.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see all they continue to achieve in the years ahead!

All are invited to our End-of-Year Assembly tomorrow morning at 10:30 as we celebrate Edward & Lucia, and hear from all of our elementary students about their proudest accomplishments from the year. Reminder that Primary also has an early dismissal at 11:30, and elementary students are dismissed at noon.
