R.I.P. Professor. 89 years old today. 12-19-2026. Gone, but NEVER forgotten.

Tomorrow, December 19th, would have been Professors 89th birthday. Some echoes from the past:
In the spring of ‘97, he gave me the HONORARY title of “Professor”. It was very PUBLICLY done after he conducted a seminar in Rutledge, Pa. (50+ attendees). It was given out of respect, friendship, and affection. There certainly was no fee involved. Ergo: it wasn’t purchased. I was the ONLY ONE this was bestowed upon.
My first seminar I hosted with him was September ‘89. As you may know, I hosted his final seminar/camp in February ‘01. I’m fairly certain I’m the only student who is STILL standing who spans the 80’s-‘90’s- and the millennium for consecutive promoting of Modern Arnis with him.
My tribute page to him WAS THE FIRST. Yes, it was a full 10 years AFTER his passing, but I was NEVER on any social platforms prior. Not one of the “7” thought of him. In fact when he came to Philadelphia in ‘01, he flew OVER all of them. This was an unequivocal rebuke to those in his hospital room in Germany who fumbled his financial plans. When WE returned from Europe (England + Venice), I had the next seminar in November as well as his Philadelphia Winter Camp of ‘01. These were time sensitive and no one thought to inquire about his schedule. In fact I was “boxed out” by those in attendance. That’s all for now. More tomorrow.
