In life there are times when the veil that hangs across our world, holding us back from the fullness of Heaven is pulled aside. When death pulls that veil aside we are often too overwhelmed by our grief and loss to know how the presence of Love will find us.
Perhaps the force of love and the weight of grief flow from the same source... Perhaps the brokenness is a way to be closer to the passing place, letting this world fall away, lying down heavy, breathing below the surface, breathing beyond this life, breathing in the dead.
And perhaps after time and more time and time enough, the passing place grows lighter, and the gossamer veil drops softly , not to shut us out but to allow us to move in this world of skin and trees and stone and this day and the next day. And we will breathe air again, yet still we will be breathing the dead as their Love breathes through us.
