We are thrilled to share some exciting news from the Rubato School of Music community! 🎉🎶

Our founder, Shana Pistilli, has been selected as one of just 10 finalists for the 2026 Ovation Award presented by the PYO Music Institute. The Ovation Award recognizes outstanding music educators who inspire, empower, and make a lasting impact on their students and communities through music. Being named a finalist is an incredible honor and a testament to Shana’s dedication to creating inclusive, student-centered music education for learners of all abilities.

Since the beginning, Rubato School of Music has been built on the belief that every student deserves a place to grow, create, and thrive through music. Shana’s passion for fostering creativity, confidence, and connection through music has helped shape a welcoming environment where students of all backgrounds and abilities can succeed. We are incredibly proud to see her commitment recognized alongside other exceptional educators throughout the region.

Please join us in congratulating Shana on being named an Ovation Award finalist. While she was not selected as the award recipient, it is still an extraordinary honor to be recognized as one of only 10 finalists, and we are so proud of this remarkable achievement and wishing her the best as an Ovation Award finalist! 👏🎵❤️

We are thrilled to share that we were selected as a recipient of a Pilot Small Business Growth Fund grant! 🙌

Through this program, presented by [Pilot.com](http://Pilot.com) in partnership with Hello Alice, we were awarded a $10,000 grant to invest in our business growth, plus one year of free Pilot bookkeeping services.

We are so grateful for this support and excited to scale our business and achieve our goals.

April is Autism Acceptance Month! 💙

At Rubato, acceptance isn’t something we celebrate just one month out of the year, it’s the foundation of everything we do!

We believe that every learner deserves access to music in a way that honors who they are, and how they learn!

For many of our students, that looks like:
💙 Lessons that move at their pace!
💙 Music that is visual, sensory-aware, and accessible!
💙 A space where differences aren’t just accepted, they’re valued!

This month (and all the other months) Rubato celebrates our autistic students for who they are! Creative, expressive, bright, and entirely themselves!

Because music is for everyone. And everyone deserves to feel like they belong!
