Fun trip to Fresh Pond today! We spotted an unexpected Red-throated Loon loafing around. These guys should be on the ocean or migrating along the coast to their Arctic breeding grounds — not chilling on a pond!

Hit Plum Island this Sunday for a beautiful morning of birding. Checked out some White-crowned Sparrows and hung out on this sweet tractor (PC to Mama C***s)

Kicked off the 2018-2019 TOS birding season with a trip to the local Danehy Park! Highlights included an Indigo Bunting and pair of Blackpoll Warblers.

Took a study break and went over to Deer Island for some sea ducks. Highlights were 3 (!) Iceland Gulls and a female Barrow’s Goldeneye.
