The days go by so fast! We were at the school forest on Monday hiding our rocks we painted. Then in the afternoon we joined our friends from BRI at the Youth Center. Today we walked around the pond and enjoyed the beginning of fall.

❤️ CAUSE OF THE MONTH 🎒

This month at The Tire Station, we’re shining a light on a program that helps make a very real difference for children right here in our community: Meals in a Backpack, through United Way of Taylor County.

For many kids, school means more than just learning, friends, and activities. School meals can also be an important source of reliable nutrition. But what happens when the school doors close for the weekend, a holiday, or a school break? For some local families, making sure there is enough food at home can be a challenge. That’s where Meals in a Backpack steps in.

The program helps provide local children with backpacks filled with kid-friendly, shelf-stable food to take home when they are away from school. It’s a simple idea with a meaningful purpose, helping make sure children have food when they need it most. Over the next few weeks, we’ll share more about Meals in a Backpack, why this program is so important, and how our community can help support it.

🎒 Want to help? Throughout the month, The Tire Station will be accepting monetary donations at the restaurant to support this important program. Every dollar can make a difference. Food donations are also always welcome through the SOAR Program, where community members can donate food directly to help local families in need. Because no child should ever have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. ❤️
