The Sasquatch Puzzle

Today is the 1 year anniversary of me starting this page. I am William Morris and am the founder of this adventure. Stan Shumlick is co-founder. I never thought I would start a team but then, here comes Stan and the rest is history. We show you what we find but remain objective and skeptical and always will. All you see is investigated throughly and 90% of our finds are actually thrown out. If there is any other possible explanations for our finds, no matter how good it may seem, we toss it. You get to see the remainder. Thank you to all our followers. I was just working on building this page a year ago and folks were finding it already so I finished publishing it. It is a project in the works to display our real, boots on the ground research. We don't couch surf. Our Forest Friends have helped us along the way. They inspired the logo with "The light show" video we had on Youtube. We actually asked them what colors to use. Our relationship is unique and amazing. We never thought this is what we would be doing at this stage of life but are Grateful to the Forest People for the opportunity. We are tasked to show they are not monsters regardless of the stories you have heard. We don't hunt, search or track them in any way. They seek us out when in the woods. We have NEVER had a bad encounter with them. We have a different approach and it works. We hope to continue doing what we do until we can't. I have been having encounters since 1980 at age 16. I had a lot of fear toward them. The fear was in my own mind and wasn't justified. They have NEVER attempted to harm me in 46 years. When I lost my fear, it became a whole new relationship with them. My only regret is that I didn't lose the fear sooner.

Part two: camping West of Oakridge with sighting. 7/9/2026-7/10/2026. The photos below are every pic I took. Stan has many more. Stan is a professional Film maker and chronicles our adventures. It was commented about how detailed my observations are in writing. These are my actual research notes and will eventually be turned into a book to help others with their research.

7/9/2026
Today we awoke very refreshed both saying how we unusually slept very well. We had coffee and made a plan to explore around our immediate camp area. We were still laughing about the Kitty trap we had conceived and concluded it could work. This will be a possibility in a future experiment to satisfy our own curiosity. First we checked the beds near camp t see that they were used again for the night( The grass had righted itself during the day in the sun as it should have). There was an additional bed that was closer. We felt that one was comfortable enough to move closer which gave an even better observation point to our camp. Just feet from the new bed was a wet spot where something urinated in the night. We confirmed with each other it was not ours. We felt it was one of our visitors. We returned to camp and started exploring the woods around camp noting tree breaks and explored the teepee structure a rocks throw from our tent. The trees in the structure were pushed from different directions to meet up on an existing upright tree. We walked deeper in to the forest to look for pathways that our visitors use and were not disappointed. There were very clear pathways on the fringe of camp for something large to easily move unimpeded in the area quietly. It is where close to where I heard the Huff and stomping off the first night. There were many fresh disturbances observed on the soil. As we moved through the area, we observed structures, pinned and stabbed arches (The tip of the tree is stabbed several inches into the soil to hold the arch in form), multiple tree breaks and a couple of trident and failed trident trees. This was all on the Eastside of our camp, all within 100 yards. When we got to where the brush was thick and we could risk injury, we turned to explore the North side of camp. We followed a series of tridents and failed tridents to the Northside. There was a spot where we could observed 9 of these trees from one spot. I took a video at this point. This was a first for me seeing so many failed and successful tridents in any one area. We returned back to cam walking back directly through a burn pile which was a direct line to camp, approx. 100 yards for perspective. I fixed us lunch as we discussed our findings so far. I Was cleaning the dishes from last nights dinner before I started cooking our lunched and discovered a small circle weave 30 feet from camp that had not been there before. It was like a mini portal weaved into a perfect circle. The plants used were still rooted. Normally I would clip and take the find but being rooted, it would had been destroyed so I took a picture. I also felt, by intuition, not to remove it. Always trust your intuition or bad things may happen doing research. I told Stan about the weave and showed him the picture and pointed it out. He could see it from where he was sitting. It was not there before. I explained why I would not take it. Stan is still learning so explanations are important.
I cooked lunch and we discussed our finds and the plan to explore today. I usually let our Forest Friends guide us as we go. It always pays off. They tend to lead me to the evidence the wish me to see. I decided, after lunch, to leave a jar of peanut butter by a post where our visitors were bedding down. We went back up the road to the north, where toe super highway was to the vista point to look for any fresh evidence and for another panoramic picture to mess with Ronny and RPG. Just innocent fun. We spotted more possible structures and a suspended tree along the way. They looked good but could had been natural. If there is any possible natural explanation, I dismiss these features. When all explanations are exhausted, I can consider them unnatural anomalies. We scrutinize every find and investigate it fully before deeming it an anomaly. If there is ANY explanation it could have happened naturally, even a remote possibility, we dismiss it. I am sure there have been a lot of things that may have been real structures that we have rejected but, being investigators, we refuse to take a chance of being accused of perpetuating a hoax. One accusation can destroy years of credibility in this genre.
On return back to camp, I had many bug bites on my ankles and Stan was itching as well. I looked down and spotted a Broadleaf Plantain on the side of the road and took advantage of it's healing properties. I picked several leaves and handed Stan a few. We crushed them and rubbed on our wounds. Immediate relief. It pays to know the edible and medicinal plants in nature. When we are researching, I take the time to teach these things and how to use them. We stopped back at camp to get hydrated and to snack before more exploring. We took the road to the south beyond the road where we followed the prints in the grass. We found a few more print spots along the way and observed more twisted tree breaks. There was a blocked off road on our left (East) we decided to explore. We saw many possible structures but I rejected them due to possible natural possibilities. Not everything is Sasquatch related no matter how bad we would like it to be. It is a mistake of some researchers with limited investigative skills. I sometimes have to debunk other researchers findings. The road followed the road south with another spur road that went East. We took the East arm until it headed steeply downhill. We decided we didn't want to have to work our way back up. In the future, we hope to incorporate a couple of E-cycles to explore these forgotten areas. It's about affordability at current and an expense I am not ready for. There was a Apple tree where the road went East. I do know that our Forest Friends love apples. It is one of my go to gifts. They take them every time. We found a spot where there was a Spring and seemed to have a lot of traffic with tree breaks and arches. The trail crossed the road to the other side and headed toward our camp area. There were tree breaks on both sides. I took a couple of pics and also found another teepee structure with an arch and tree breaks. It was very large and again, all the trees were pushed over to meet at a central point on a standing tree. Sometimes I find them made of trees that were transported (Having no roots or stump and pushed into the ground) and sometimes trees that are pushed from several directions to a central point creating the structure. It was getting toward dinner time and Stan gets grumpy without food, really. I usually carry snacks I call slingshot's. I throw them at him when I notice his change in his attitude. We joke about this but it is a true thing. We touch on it in some of our post's enough that folks give him snacks, lol. I stopped on the roadway where it meets the main road back to camp to take a panoramic picture with Stan in it. It appears I am on a corner but the road is actually straight. We returned to camp for dinner and to relax and discuss the day. As I started preparing dinner, Stan saw, East of camp, a Sasquatch, my size, peer out from behind a tree. He was excited and it was only a short glimpse just long enough to identify it as a Forest person. When he turned to tell me, I spotted one observing me from a stump , Directly North of camp where I filmed the Tridents earlier. I waved at the juvenile and said "hello". I had Stan look and asked, "Do you see him", he confirmed "Yes". The juvenile watched me while heating dinner up for 3-4 minutes. The sighting confirmed that we had juveniles camping with us. The significance of this is a major trust that Stan and I have established with the Forest People. They are very protective of their young. We feel very honored that they allowed them to stay with us for the time we were there. It connects back to the first night where We heard the "Huff" and bi-pedal stomping off to the woods. We think it is when they dropped off the kids with us. Just an observation and possibility. There was a lot of evidence to support this. We spent the evening talking about our findings and our sighting from camp. The evening was once again completely silent, as it often is in their presence. We were tired but I wanted to stay up till the beautiful star scape returned before retiring. We discussed getting up early and breaking camp so we could get my usual camp spot at Sasquatch Summer Festival. We fell a sleep quickly due to a lot of exploring during the day.

7/10/2026
I awoke this morning in an unusual way for me. It was like I snapped awake instantly by some unforeseen force. I was alert and wide awake in an instant. I got up for a nature call and decided to make coffee and to start breaking down camp. I noticed a wet spot between my vehicle and tent (8' between). It was a urine spot with a trailing drips from a male directly in front of my vehicle. Neither Stan or I urinated here. We utilized the grassy areas on either side of the tent at least 10-15 feet away. It was the second spot we discovered and this was definitely a male due to the trailing stream. I wish I had documented both spots in retrospect but didn't. I could had taken a sample but didn't have a sterile kit with me to do so. It will be added in the future. We also discussed our solid sleep since we had been there. Possible infrasound may had been a contributing factor so the kids curiosity could allow them to explore camp without disturbing us. We were very rested and slept well all 3 nights. Very odd for us both. We are very light sleepers. We rehashed last evenings sightings. I took a photo of the stump the juvenile was next to as well as went to the stump. It was 5' tall which confirmed it was a young juvenile I witnessed. I concluded, by experience, that it was around 8 years old. The one Stan witnessed may had been possibly a female adult or young teen by the size. He said it was my size and I am not a small guy. I was slowly breaking down camp while chatting and sipping coffee. I saved the tent for last. I have a Stag T4 hub style tent that only takes a few minutes to set up and break down. We walked down to where the Juvenile beds were. We heard 3 super fast tree knocks in the distance followed by another 3. We concluded the Juveniles were being called home because we were leaving. We both thanked our guests and stated that they were very well behaved in our presence. We also thanked them for revealing themselves to us visually. We figured 3 tree knocks, three Juveniles being called home. Made sense to us. It was a great time in the woods and Stan and myself's first camping together in the remote woods. What a wonderful experience and to have a sighting as well. After the tree knocks, the woods seemed to come alive with sounds for the first time since we had arrived. What we found odd is that the 3 days we were there, birds were flying around but mane no vocals. This was especially odd because we saw several Blue Jays and they are the alarms of the Forest but were silent. W
We finished packing up the van and decided to take the road we were camped near rather than the one we came in on. This is on the East side of the ridge. We found many more Tridents and failed ones on this side too. We came to a fork in the road that led us to the road we came up on. We found where they were actively logging and were blocking the road while loading up a log truck. It was great to see the precise skills of the gentleman running the loader. He was highly skilled and precise. The moved to let us by after 10 minutes. We didn't mind the wait. We waived and moved on and found our way back on the road we came up on. We cruised back to highway 58 and headed to Oakridge.
