What a wonderful celebration at Cummings Foundation Grant Winner Celebration last week!

We are incredibly grateful to have received a $150,000 matching gift from Cummings Foundation for our Tufts Community Grants program this past year. With this incredible matching gift, we are able to support more organizations expand their reach and create new opportunities in our communities!

Congratulations to the Medford Housing Authority on the ribbon cutting ceremony for the revitalized Saltonstall Apartments, brand new affordable public housing for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities!

When visiting, be sure to check out the beautiful new mural designed and painted by students and faculty from Tufts University and Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life.

A Jumbo welcome to the high school students participating in this summer's Mini-Dental School program at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine!

We’re excited to welcome a new cohort of future healthcare leaders to campus as Mini Dental School begins.

This year’s program brings together 48 high school students from 20 U.S. states and territories, along with participants from Canada and Spain—our broadest geographic reach yet. Massachusetts leads representation, followed by Texas, Florida, and California, with students also joining us from across the country and internationally from Montreal and Pozuelo de Alarcón.

We’re also excited to welcome 49 Mini Medical School students for a simulated workshop in our Simulation Clinic, where they’ll gain hands-on exposure to dentistry alongside our student teaching assistants.

Mini Dental School participants will take part in immersive experiences across both dental and medical education, including:

🦷 Simulation Clinic Experience
Students will explore dentistry through hands-on activities and mentorship from current students.

🧠 Anatomy Lab Exploration
Participants will engage in guided learning experiences that include sheep brain and pig heart dissections and opportunities to examine select human specimens.

🏥 Simulation Center Rotation
Students will be introduced to foundational clinical skills such as taking vital signs, intubation techniques, and IV insertion.

Programs like Mini Dental School create opportunities for meaningful learning, mentorship, and discovery—helping students explore the many pathways within oral health and healthcare professions.

Tufts University is thrilled to announce a $50,000 donation to the Medford Family Network in honor of MFN's Executive Director's 30 plus years of service to the Medford community and to so many Medford families!

Congrats to the 2026 Tufts Community Grants recipients!

Honored to celebrate the 40 non-profits from 's communities of Boston, Grafton, Medford and Somerville who each received a $5,000 at the TCG reception! The grants were funded with donations from Tufts students, faculty & staff to the TGC program and a generous $150,000 matching gift from .

And a special congrats to this year’s TCG Sustaining Partner Award recipient, Mary Jeka, Tufts Unversity senior vice president for University Relations and General Counsel, for her outstanding support of the program!
