The world-famous Harlem Wizards brought the hype to Allen, getting everyone pumped for their upcoming showdowns against the MTPS staff! Expect crazy tricks, huge laughs, and nonstop action as our staff takes on the Wizards on Saturday, March 21 and Saturday, March 28.

Our kindergator engineers were hard at work in the Fab Lab! Students collaborated, researched, imagined, and planned to bring their ideas to life as they designed and created a giant gingerbread house out of cardboard. Along the way, they explored important STEM skills—learning about material properties, structure, and stability; and problem-solving when designs needed adjustments.

They practiced safe and purposeful tool use with kid friendly screws and screwdrivers, learned how to score, bend, and mold cardboard, and applied the engineering design process through trial, testing, and improvement. Most importantly, they worked together, communicated ideas, and compromised to create a design that represented the entire kindergarten class.

The result is an incredible gingerbread house and some very proud young engineers! ✨ 💚💛🐊
