Rogue Valley students are SHEEPISH! 🐑

This school year, our spiritual emphasis is about learning to be "Sheepish,” based on the parable of the sheep and the goats from Matthew 25.

In it, Jesus describes two groups of humans at the end of the world:
•those that care for the poor, sick, thirsty, hungry, and needy (the sheep)
•those that don’t (the goats)

Our students this year are learning to be “sheepish” by caring for others, helping those in need, and being service oriented in their daily lives.

So for this year—whether you’re a parent, grandparent, future student, guardian, or community member—join us in learning to be sheepish! 🤍

🐑✨ Congratulations to our inaugural "Jesus Gems" students! ✨🐑

Here at Rogue Valley Adventist Academy, we want to highlight students who are making a positive difference and showing Jesus' love to those around them. So, we celebrated them this week in chapel by recounting how teachers saw Jesus in their lives this week, a special certificate, and a Jesus Gem.

Our spiritual emphasis this year is learning to be “Sheepish,” inspired by the parable of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25. We’re encouraging our students to care for others, help those in need, and look for everyday opportunities to serve and show Jesus’ love. 💛

These four students are wonderful examples of what it looks like to be “sheepish” in our school community, and we loved having the opportunity to celebrate them in front of their peers! 🌟

A beautiful way to start the school year on the right foot. 🤍✨

At Back to School Night, we introduced a new tradition: a Wall of Encouragement where parents, guardians, staff, and classmates could leave notes of encouragement for our students as they began a new school year.

Our high school students got to see the wall during Friday’s Soft Start, and on Monday, the whole academy had the opportunity to read the messages and see just how many people were cheering them on.

While the wall itself was temporary, the encouragement behind it is something we hope will carry with us throughout the year. We are so grateful for a school family that comes together to support, uplift, pray for, and encourage our students.

What a wonderful reminder that our students are surrounded by people who believe in them and want to see them thrive. We couldn’t ask for a better way to kick off the new school year! 💙
