Early Childhood - Grade 8 Saint Raphael School is a Pre-K to Grade 8 school in Medford, MA.

Our school is dedicated to faith formation, moral development and academic excellence. Our school has high quality instructional technology, including SMART Boards in all classrooms, a stationary computer lab, and a mobile computer lab with 30 MacBooks, and 60 IPADS. Our new parish center houses our performance center, meeting rooms and youth center. Building on a strong foundation of 50 years, Saint Raphael School looks to the future with energy and optimism.

A day St. Raphael School will never forget. 🕊️
On the Feast of the Holy Archangels — our school’s own feast — we were honored to welcome Archbishop Henning of the Archdiocese of Boston to visit our halls and consecrate St. Raphael School to the Sacred Hearts.
As our very own Fr. Paul Coughlin shared, “It makes St. Raphael School a sacred place and sets us apart that it’s more than just a place where you can bring your children and drop them off. It’s a place where they can leave at the end of the day filled with God’s love and knowing that they are cared for.”
What a grace it was to entrust this school, our students, our staff, and our mission to the Hearts that love us most — on the very feast of the angels who stand before the throne of God.

Happy Feast of the Archangels! ⚔️🕊️🐟

For our school family, this feast holds a very special place in our hearts — because today we celebrate St. Raphael, our patron saint.
Today we are also deeply blessed to welcome Archbishop Henning who will consecrate our school to the Sacred Hearts.

May St. Raphael, our heavenly patron, continue to guide, guard, and accompany every student, teacher, and family in this community — just as he accompanied young Tobias on his journey. And may this consecration mark a new chapter in our school's mission: to know, love, and serve God with every heart in these halls.

St. Raphael, pray for us. St. Michael, defend us. St. Gabriel, speak God's word to us.

What a wonderful first day back at Saint Raphael School! 🎒✨

It was so special welcoming our students into a refreshed campus today—from brand-new whiteboards and fresh paint to our Early Childhood and Pre-K classrooms now under the main building’s roof with our whole SRS family.

We want to extend a huge thank you to Father Paul, our teachers, staff, and parent volunteers who worked tirelessly all summer to make this possible. The spirit of these projects truly captures our theme for the year, Accompaniment—walking alongside our students as they discover what is True, Good, and Beautiful. We are so excited for all that this year holds, including the upcoming completion of our new turf play area!

Thank you all for an incredible start to the school year. Rest up tonight, SRS family—we can’t wait to see everyone back tomorrow for day two!

Hosted by the Medford Police Department, this family-friendly event features a touch-a-truck activity, music, games, free food, and lots of tables from community businesses and nonprofits. The fun begins at 5pm at Hormel Stadium. See you there!

🎓 The Journey Continues... 🎓

At St. Raphael Parish School, graduation is more than a ceremony—it's a celebration of growth, achievement, and the exciting road ahead.

These special photos capture three important milestones in the life of our school community: our Preschool students ready to begin Kindergarten, our Kindergarten students preparing to become next year's First Graders, and our graduating 8th Graders ready to embark on their next adventures.

From first classroom experiences to leadership roles and lifelong friendships, each step has helped shape who they are today. As our youngest learners move forward and our oldest students spread their wings, we celebrate the accomplishments, memories, and relationships that have made their journeys so meaningful.

Congratulations to all of our graduates and moving-up students—we can't wait to see what God has in store for each of you next.

🎡🎉 What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another wonderful school year!

This weekend, the St. Raphael Parish School and Parish communities came together for our annual End-of-Year Carnival. Students, families, parishioners, alumni, and friends enjoyed an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit.

From the dunk tank, bouncy houses, petting zoo, games, face painting, and Davey the Clown to delicious burgers, cotton candy, and popcorn, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was wonderful to see our entire school community—from our youngest learners to our graduating students—celebrating together.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this year's carnival such a memorable event. We are grateful for the strong community that makes St. Raphael Parish School such a special place.

🐾🦁 On May 29, our Kindergarteners enjoyed an exciting field trip to Stone Zoo!

Students spent the day exploring exhibits, learning about animals from around the world, and seeing wildlife up close. Every stop offered a chance to make new discoveries and bring classroom lessons to life.

A special thank you to Stone Zoo, as well as our teachers, staff, and parent volunteers, for making this memorable day possible.
