Sensory play is learning through exploration!

When children squish, scoop, pour, touch, and explore, they’re doing so much more than having fun! Sensory play helps build connections in the brain that support learning and development. It encourages language and cognitive development while strengthening fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and social skills.

Sometimes the messiest activities create the biggest learning moments!

Did you know that writing on a vertical surface, like an easel or wall board, helps children build important skills?

When children write upright, they strengthen their shoulder and core muscles, practice good posture, develop proper wrist positioning and pencil grip, and work on visual tracking and spatial awareness. Whether they’re drawing with chalk or creating a masterpiece with markers, writing upright is a fun way to strengthen early writing skills while letting their creativity shine!

Big feelings are part of growing up! 💛😊

This October, our little learners here at The Learning Experience are diving into My Emotions and Feelings, a curriculum theme designed to help children better understand what they’re feeling, express themselves, and build the social-emotional skills they’ll use every day. 🌈💬

With Miss Chievous by their side, children will explore the many emotions they experience and discover simple ways to navigate big feelings. ✨

Learning how to understand our feelings is an important part of learning how to care for ourselves, connect with others, and grow with confidence. 💕 We can't wait to see what this month of exploration and discovery brings! 🌱
