The Teresa McCormick Center began in 2005 when Teresa McCormick, a longtime employee of Harry and David, was working in the employment office. She saw people ready to go to work, but who didn't have closed toe shoes to work in the packing house or on the assembly line. Teresa, with the help of Dee Anne Everson of United Way of Jackson County, was able to get shoes donated that year so that people could go to work. Sadly, Teresa suddenly passed away from a brain aneurism in 2007, at age 53. Harry and David leadership recognized the need in the community and, in honor of Teresa, they created a center on campus to help people with supplemental food and used clothing. Two years later the Center became a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. In 2014, a new model was developed to help people move toward greater self sufficiency. Our focus is on education, assistance, and connecting people to resources in the Rogue Valley. We have a supplemental food pantry, used clothing, and a computer lab and classroom.

Reminder! We are back to regular afternoon, Monday, hours starting today!

Mondays 2-4:30!

Also.. our post last week didn’t seem to be clear enough.

DO NOT drop off donations after hours. Especially on weekends or nights. It is considered ILLEGAL dumping, to do that.

There are cameras.

Even with the best of donations and intentions, this is not helpful to our volunteer staff. We have limited staff and space at any given time.

TMAC is always so grateful for the donations and support from our community.

With that being said, please do not drop off donations during our “off hours”. Donations are most helpful during our “drop in” hours which are Mondays 2-4:30 and Thursdays 10-1.

Also, if you have a large amount to donate, give us a call first, so we can discuss the logistics and ensure we have the space and staffing to handle the gift.

Hint: filling our empty product bins in the parking lot when we aren’t here is not helpful…. 🤍🫣
