Building a civic identity while exploring Thailand! 🇹🇭

Tufts' 2026 Civic Semester Thailand cohort is gaining hands-on experience through research and internships with an Indigenous-founded organization supporting highland communities in northern Thailand and an environmental non-profit transforming leaves into sustainable products.

Students are also immersed in all that Thailand has to offer, from climbing waterfalls and visiting temples to spending a day at an elephant sanctuary 🐘. Learn more about Tufts Civic Semester at tischcollege.tufts.edu.

Thinking about applying Early Decision? Welcome back to Tufts Talk: ED Edition! 🐘🗣️💬

Next up is Elle '29. Elle comes from Amsterdam, Netherlands and studies International Relations:
"I chose to apply Early Decision because I knew that this was where I wanted to be. I knew that Tufts would set me up for a career in International Relations unlike any other school, and set me up with the life skills I would need to understand myself, people, and the world. I was drawn to Tufts because it felt like a place where I could pursue my academic interests while also challenging myself to think beyond the classroom. More than anything, I saw Tufts as a community where I could grow into the person—and the global citizen—I wanted to become."

Thinking about applying Early Decision? Welcome back to Tufts Talk: ED Edition! 🐘🗣️💬

Next up is Jonas '28. Jonas comes from Brownsville, TX and studies Psychology:
"I chose to apply Early Decision to Tufts because I found Tufts to fulfill all of my criteria. It is an academically strong, medium-sized school, with close access to a major city. The numerous opportunities through student organizations, research, and other on-campus research really nailed the decision for me. Given these things, I decided to apply Early Decision to give myself a bit more peace of mind as I rounded out my high school years strongly, taking those extra few months to mentally and physically prepare for the upcoming major transition."

Thinking about applying Early Decision? Welcome back to Tufts Talk: ED Edition! 🐘🗣️💬

Next up is Tessa '27. Tessa comes from Mountain View, California and studies Biology on the Pre-Med track:
"My application decision ultimately came down to one question: Which school would help me become the best version of myself? As I looked at the schools on my list, I realized that if I were accepted to any of them and Tufts, I would choose Tufts every time. Once I recognized that, applying Early Decision was a no-brainer."

Thinking about applying Early Decision? Welcome back to Tufts Talk: ED Edition! 🐘🗣️💬

Next up is Ishan '27. Ishan comes from Randolph, Massachusetts and studies Chinese Language and Cultural Studies, Finance, and Entrepreneurship:
"I chose to apply Early Decision to Tufts because I felt it was the best fit for both my academic and personal growth. The location appealed to me since Tufts is not directly in Boston, yet the city is easily accessible, offering the perfect balance of a close-knit campus and urban opportunities. I was drawn to the strong network of alumni, professors, and current students, knowing that I could build meaningful relationships and grow within that community. The liberal arts education stood out as it would allow me to take courses across multiple disciplines, equipping me with critical thinking skills needed to be excel post-grad. Most importantly, I knew I would thrive in Tufts’ collaborative environment, where professors and peers support one another rather than compete."
