Get creative with artist and instructor Vy Zwier at the Medford Arts Center!

Whether you would like to learn crochet or explore the colorful art of stained glass, these beginner-friendly workshops offer step-by-step instruction in a fun and welcoming environment.

LEARN TO CROCHET A TOTE

Create a beautiful handmade tote you will be proud to use every day. No experience is necessary, and all supplies are included.

Fridays, 6–8 PM
Each workshop includes two Friday classes.

JUMP INTO STAINED GLASS

Learn the stained-glass process while creating a colorful piece to display at home. Each workshop includes two three-hour Saturday sessions.

Vy is a multidisciplinary artist and instructor with a passion for stained glass, painting, fiber arts, and creative exploration. She has also self-published two adult coloring books featuring intricate mandala designs inspired by her appreciation for artistry and the therapeutic power of coloring. Vy enjoys learning new techniques and sharing the beauty of self-expression with others.

Explore oil and acrylic painting with artist and instructor Catherine “Cathy” Scannell at the Medford Arts Center!

Cathy creates a relaxed, stress-free environment where students can develop their painting skills, explore new techniques, and progress at their own pace. Artists are welcome wherever they may be in their creative journey.

Cathy is a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City with a BFA in Illustration. Her background includes fine art and graphic design, with experience in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and graphite. After working as a graphic designer for AT&T, she returned to her first love of fine arts and now enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion with others.
