For "Build It!" week, Kids Unlimited campers at KU Academy put their creativity, teamwork and engineering skills to the test.

Students designed, built and created through a variety of hands-on activities. Campers tackled foam towers, Play-Doh towers, DIY foosball, race tracks, pop-up art and other STEM challenges while exploring creativity, problem-solving and basic engineering concepts.

One of the biggest highlights of the week was our field trip to City of Medford's Rogue X indoor pool, where campers cooled off, swam and made more summer memories.

For "Build It!" week, we put on our construction hats during Kids Unlimited Summer Camp at Jackson Elementary. Students constructed towers, buildings and their own designs, including boats, marshmallow towers, bridges and paper chain links. Their creativity was amazing!

Campers also enjoyed one of their favorite field trips of the summer: a visit to the City of Medford's Rogue X indoor pool! Splashing with friends and enjoying the exciting water features is the perfect way to cool off while making lasting summer memories.

Kids Unlimited Summer Camp at KU Academy made a splash "Under the Sea!"

Our weeklong theme explored the ocean's wonders through creative art projects, sensory activities and hands-on learning. Students made fluffy dish soap slime, ocean animal squishies, Cheerio octopuses, pom pom fish, colorful jellyfish, ribbon fish and more! Campers also enjoyed kinetic sand and our "fish out of water" activity.

Among the biggest highlights was our field trip to the Children's Festival on Jacksonville's Britt Festival grounds. Campers enjoyed a day filled with music, entertainment, interactive experiences and summer memories!

Kids Unlimited Summer Camp at Jackson Elementary dove into an exciting "Under the Sea" theme!

Campers explored the wonders of the ocean through hands-on enrichments, creative crafts, exciting games and STEM challenges. Students worked together to create a giant ocean obstacle course using a tablecloth. Navigating the course without "falling into the water" promoted imagination, problem-solving and laughter!

One of the highlights was our field trip to KIDS Club Northwest in Grants Pass! Campers explored the exciting indoor play center filled with ball pits, slides, tunnels, climbing structures and plenty of opportunities for active play.

Kids Unlimited Summer Camp at KU Academy transformed campers into "mad scientists" for a week full of exciting experiments, creative projects and messy fun!

Our young scientists stayed busy with hands-on STEM activities, including making glow-in-the-dark slime, blowing up balloons using CO₂, creating lava lamps, launching balloon rockets, building hoop gliders and experimenting with the classic Diet Coke & Mentos reaction.

Creativity was just as important as science! Students designed their own monsters in our "invent-a-monster lab," mixed up soft cloud dough, painted watercolor galaxies, made homemade bubbles and wands, and even created delicious ice cream in a bag while learning about changes in matter. They also built erupting volcanoes and explored engineering through edible creations.

Campers created invisible ink, made their own worry stones, mixed up oobleck and pudding slime and took on edible engineering challenges that encouraged creativity and problem-solving. This has been one of our campers' favorite themes so far!

We've got some delicious news to share! A recent grant from the City of Medford and Medford Urban Renewal Agency will boost Kids Unlimited's renovations at 717 N. Riverside Ave., the future home of Pastabilities Unlimited.

Kids Unlimited campers cooled off this week with a visit from Medford Fire Department!

Engine 14 gave a fun and informative presentation at Jackson Elementary School that included safety talks, a tour of the rig, hands-on hose demonstration and kid-sized helmets for each camper. Community connections like these are just one of many reasons our students look forward to KU camp each year!

Kids Unlimited Summer Camp at KU Academy celebrated "Stars, Stripes & Summer Fun" during week 3.

Campers made delicious homemade lemonade from scratch, giving them the opportunity to practice measuring, mixing and teamwork. They also created colorful firework salt paintings, patriotic Play-Doh and Statue of Liberty crowns, expressing their creativity through art.

We also had the exciting opportunity to partner with Britt Music & Arts Festival. Visiting musical artist Gabriel Globus-Hoenich led a percussion bucket-drumming workshop for our grade K-3 campers, giving students a fun, interactive experience while exploring rhythm, music and teamwork.

Kids Unlimited Summer Camp at Jackson had another exciting week of summer fun! For Week 3 campers celebrated "Stars, Stripes & Summer Fun."

Students created patriotic posters, made "star-spangled slime" and explored science through "magic milk" and Skittles science experiments.
The fun continued with carnival games, patriotic "Minute to Win It" challenges and team activities that encouraged creativity and problem-solving.
