Medford Lakes Athletic Association Medford Lakes Athletic Association (MLAA) promotes positive sports activities in a team environment. Many adults enjoyed married vs.

In 1933, there was a Medford Lakes Traveling Baseball team which was camp connected. single Sunday baseball games. It was about that time that the Sunday Swim Races were organized. Medford Lakes kids were successful in many Philadelphia and South Jersey swim teams while adults enjoyed long distance swims. A boys football team was created thanks to the Lions Club and operated well into the sixties

becoming a league of several teams. Another early sport was Medford Lakes Little League Baseball Association founded in 1958. Much of the financial support for the little league came from our town's longtime sports booster, Jack Flanagan. Jack held a Little League Day at his new service station in 1959 and a Football Day in 1960. The present organization was incorporated as the Medford Lakes Athletic Association, under the presidency of Bob Dalton, on October 29, 1961. Today, the MLAA continues to promote positive sports instruction, good health through activity and the value of participating in a team enviornment promoting positive sportmanlike conduct. Throughout the years, the MLAA has continued to grow through the support of local volunteers, like you. Volunteers who help support the operational functions of our sporting programs, events and organization, coach our athlete's, fundraise to support ongoing equipment, field and business needs; all while particpating in a team like atmosphere promoting the MLAA Mission.

MLAA is excited to offer a 3-on-3 Game Play Experience. Powered and coached by our friends at Fundamental Hoops, this program is designed to help players apply their skills in a fun, competitive, and developmental game environment. Unlike a traditional league, our 3 on 3 Play focuses on player growth through live "pick up" game play, decision-making, spacing, ball movement, and teamwork, in a pick-up style of play.

Players will participate in structured 3-on-3 games under the supervision of Fundamental Hoops coaches, who will coach, teach, and facilitate competitive play throughout each session.

Teams will be formed each week in a "pick-up style" format to encourage balanced competition, player adaptability, and continued development. This opportunity is something that is missing for today's players and this format provides this pick-up style of play.

Program Highlights:
✅ 7 Weeks of Live Game Play
✅ Structured Coaching & Instruction During Games
✅ Weekly Team Formation for Competitive Balance
✅ 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 Formats to Maximize Player Involvement
✅ Limited Rosters (12-16 Players Per Group)

Games will consist of two 20-minute halves with a running clock.
Basket heights will be adjusted by age group to promote proper skill development and confidence.

Cost: $175 per player

THURSDAY NIGHTS (7 Weeks)
Dates: September 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; November 5
Vaughn Hall - 79 Tecumseh Trail, Medford, NJ 08055

7:15 PM - 2nd Grade Coed (12 Spots)

Why Fundamental Hoops 3 on 3 Play?

MLAA’s own Lewis Kalb did an incredible job as the play by play announcer for the Philadelphia Phillies during the entire 3rd inning. Here is the bottom of the inning. Way to fulfill a lifelong dream and represent the lakes well! Our athletes are so lucky to feel like big leaguers when you announce their games. Way to go Lew!
