🎓❤️ Cardinal Pride is soaring high today! ❤️🎓

The MES PTA is beyond proud to award our 2026 Cardinal Scholarships to two truly outstanding seniors — Vasiliki Soto and Emily Merritt!

These amazing young women were once little Cardinals sitting in our elementary classrooms, and now they are preparing to soar into their next chapter with incredible accomplishments already behind them. Their dedication, hard work, outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and strong ties to our community made this decision an easy one.

Watching former Cardinals grow into such remarkable young adults is exactly what makes our school community so special. We know the future is incredibly bright for both of these scholarship recipients, and we cannot wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish next!

Take the night off from cooking and join us at Bell Greek Authentic Grill for an evening of delicious food, family time, and Cardinal community spirit! 🥙💙

From warm pita and fresh salads to flavorful gyros and Greek favorites, every meal helps support our school and students. A portion of the evening’s sales will go directly back to MES PTA programs and events!

This Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA had a little fun saying THANK YOU to the people who do it all 💙

Our amazing staff was treated to homemade sweet treat boxes, free pizza coupons from Marco's Pizza RVA, and foaming hand soap generously donated by Dial and PTO Today—just a few small ways to show how much we value everything you do.

Because let’s be honest… you spend your days shaping minds, solving problems, wiping tears, celebrating wins, and somehow still keeping it all together. We figured the least we could do was help keep you fueled, appreciated, and maybe just a little bit spoiled 😉

Thank you for the heart, dedication, and endless energy you pour into our students every single day. We are so grateful for you!

Today we’re celebrating the real MVPs of our school—our amazing nurses! 🩺💙

From tummy aches to tough days, they’re always there with a calm voice, a caring heart, and just the right fix. They don’t just hand out ice packs—they keep our entire school running smoothly and our kids ready to learn.

You could say they’ve got this whole “keeping our kids well” thing down to a science… and a whole lot of heart.

Happy National School Nurse Day! We are so grateful for everything you do each and every day!
