Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees - PASR PASR serves the needs of ALL people who have retired from the public schools of Pennsylvania. Currently, there are approximately 70 local PASR chapters.

PASR serves the needs of ALL persons who retired from the public schools of Pennsylvania. PASR is an association comprised of members who are all retired employees of the public schools of Pennsylvania. We are former teachers, administrators, counselors, nurses, secretaries, aides, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, maintenance staff—in short, anyone who is now receiving a pension from the Pennsylvan

ia School Employees Retirement System (PSERS). PASR’s mission is To serve others in need and help one another enjoy retirement. PASR was established in 1937 and is a pioneer of nonprofit voluntary membership organizations nationally—having helped establish both the National Retired Teachers’ Association in 1947 and the nation’s largest senior organization, AARP, in 1958. Most are found throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; however, chapters are located throughout the country.

Cindy loves the luncheons and bus trips! She finds that they help get her out of the house for the day and gives her a chance to socialize with other retirees. The meetings and trips also allow her to meet other retirees and stay active in the community. ❤️🚌

There is always something going on whether in-person or online. Through FREE book club and winter Zoom meetings, she engages in enriching conversations that help her remain informed and connected with colleagues from across the Commonwealth.

A confident grin starts with healthy dentures! Dentures and partials are a big investment, even with help from your dental plan. To protect that investment – and keep your smile healthy – proper care is essential. Here are some simple tips for healthy dentures:

🍕Rinse dentures or partials with water after eating to wash away food bits
💔Handle them carefully as they can break or bend — especially partials with clasps
🪥Brush with a soft-bristle toothbrush or soak them daily – don’t use hot or boiling water, which could warp them
💧Rinse well before putting them back in, especially after soaking in denture cleaner
❌Avoid abrasive cleaners like stiff bristles, harsh toothpastes, and products with bleach

Keeping up with your dental care helps you stay healthy from head to toe. That’s why it’s important to visit your dentist for regular preventive exams. If you don’t have dental insurance, consider a plan through PASR.
