Storytime on the Circle

We ended the summer on the highest of notes! So many friends braved the rain this morning, and it cleared out just as we began our stories! This week we read "The Humble Pie" by Jory John, and "Waiting" by Kevin Henkes. Our friends made finger puppets and felt pies for their play kitchens - it was so much fun! 🥧 Congratulations to Millie and Willa who each took home a book from the raffle, and thank you to Jamie from MJs Wildflowers for delicious snickerdoodle cookies!

We can't believe Summer #6 has come to a close already. We wish you all a wonderful rest of the season and hope we see you again soon! Keep Reading! 💛

There is a slight drizzle but hopefully it passes over quickly...we are excited to see our friends for the last Storytime of the summer! 📖 💛

Our Storytime crowd was small but mighty today! We read "Miss Rumphius" and made mixed media lupine flower paintings🪻using watercolors, pipe cleaners, pom poms, and acrylic paints. Each was unique and beautiful, just like each of us! 💛

In Book Club, we read through chapter 66 and so much has happened! Roz is becoming more and more wild and the island endured through a hard winter while Brightbill embarked on his first migration.

We hope to see you next week at the Circle for a sweet story of humility called "The Humble Pie" 🥧

It was another beautiful morning on Mecca Circle! We read a fun story of friendship called "Oh, Carrots!" which served as our craft and snack inspiration today! 🥕 Our friend Hattie took the book home from our Book Raffle! Our Book Club friends then enjoyed chapters 39-52 of The Wild Robot 🤖 the story is getting good, as winter is approaching the island. What will happen to Roz & Brightbill?! 🪿

The Gardener: (Caldecott Honor Book)

It was a hot one on the Circle, but we had a great turnout and lots of fun! After reading "The Gardener," we made our own bead plants and some friends also made last week's beaded wind chimes! Our friend Elsie won the Book Raffle, and it was especially fun to celebrate our Storytime friend Madison's birthday with her today! 🎉

During Book Club we read chapters 26-38, and are excited to watch Roz blossom as a mother to Brightbill! 🤖🪿
