🌳 Many hands make light work! 🌳

A few times each year, our Live Oak community comes together to nourish and revive our campus — pulling weeds, spreading mulch, painting fences, and tending the gardens that our children learn and play in every day. The to-do lists are always long, but there's something magical about watching families roll up their sleeves side by side, turning a big job into a joyful one. 🌿

These work days are more than just upkeep — they're a reflection of what makes our school so special. Every swept path, repaired shelf, and freshly tilled garden bed is a gift from our families to our children, and the impact is felt all year long.

Thank you to every parent, grandparent, and helping hand who shows up to care for this place we all love. This school shines because of you! ✨

Our summer camps have wrapped up for the year, and what a joyful season it's been — muddy hands, garden harvests, forest adventures, and so much laughter echoing through Live Oak.

🌿 A warm welcome to our Live Oak community! 🌿

We're delighted to introduce Mary Beth Sartain, our new Head of Administration! Mary Beth's Waldorf journey began as a parent, then deepened as she earned her Grades 1-8 Waldorf certification and spent nearly two decades leading Waldorf schools in Tennessee, Marin, and Davis. Earlier in her career, she spent a decade in the automotive industry and lived in Japan — talk about a rich journey! 🌏

She's settling into her new home in Auburn with her dog, Coco, and loves hiking, cycling, live music, and good books.

We're so grateful for the heart and leadership Mary Beth brings to our school. Please join us in giving her a warm Live Oak welcome! 💚

How do young children learn? By observing. By taking in every word and every action. What they see will shape who they become.

Parents at a Waldorf School know this well, which is why when they model service, they know they are teaching community, care, hard work, dedication, and pride to their children.

This is character building. This is community at Live Oak Waldorf School ❤

Thank you to our incredible families, staff and faculty who came to campus beautification yesterday and for being beautiful models for our children.

☀️ What a summer! ☀️

Over the past 7 weeks, 114 campers filled our campus with laughter, wonder, and a little bit of magic — from fairies and teacups to filmmaking, yoga, and basketball (and everything in between)!

Campers left with beautiful crafts, new skills, new friendships, and hearts full of wonder. 💛 We can't wait to do it again next summer!
