Big Wins at the 2026 Keystone Competition!

We are still buzzing from the energy at TIU11! After a high-stakes event of creativity and collaboration, we are thrilled to announce the champions of this year’s Keystone Competition.

Students had no prep time and only two short hours to take a real-world challenge and turn it into a functional prototype. These teams proved that with teamwork and innovation, the possibilities are infinite!

Join us in celebrating our winners—all representing the Mount Union School District:

Grade 5-6 Band Winners: Joseph Linn-Treese (6th), Creeden Clark (6th), and Collin Heidel (6th)

Grade 7-8 Band Winners: Tyler Skopic (7th), Eliza Sechrist (7th), and Liliana Carper (8th)

These students didn't just build a model; they braved a "Shark Tank" style sharing session to pitch their ideas to our judges. They walked away with prizes, recognition, and the skills to jumpstart even bigger ideas for the future!

Way to go, innovators!

The TIU 11 Ed Tech team is thrilled to be spending the next two days with the 6th and 7th graders at Mifflin County Middle School!

Students are diving into the world of engineering using tools from our Rover Mobile Fab Lab to design and build their very own automata. These hands-on lessons do more than just create cool projects—they build the foundational maker skills and confidence students need to become the innovators of tomorrow.

Stay tuned to see these creations come to life!
