Telfair County Elementary School Telfair County Elementary School serves kindergarten through fifth grade. TCES has been named a 2017 Reward School by the Georgia Department of Education.

The Telfair County School District is honored to announce that Telfair County Elementary School has been named a Reward School for 2017 by the Georgia Department of Education. TCES was named a Reward School in the Highest-Progress School category. Highest-Progress Schools are among the top 10 percent of the state’s Title I schools in making the most progress in improving the performance of the “al

l students” group over three years (2013 – 2015) on statewide assessments. TCES was one of only four schools in our entire RESA district to achieve this impressive distinction. We would like to congratulate our administrators, faculty members, staff members, community supporters, and, of course, students for this outstanding achievement. Thanks to each of you for your unwavering commitment to the “Pursuit of Excellence.”

The Telfair County School District would like to thank all responding law enforcement agencies for their prompt response. All buildings have been cleared and normal operations have resumed.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Open House tomorrow.

The Telfair County School District received a threatening robo-call message overnight that was received by multiple districts around the state. The appropriate law enforcement authorities have been notified and are now investigating and clearing all buildings. We plan to resume normal operations tomorrow and hold our Open Houses as scheduled on Friday, July 31, 2026.
