McPherson High School KAY Club McPherson High School KAY club is a service club that focuses on four types of service: school, comm It is the only club of its kind in the nation.

KAY is an acronym that stands for Kansas Association of Youth. Since KAY is a KSHSAA sponsored activity, there are many KAY clubs throughout the state. KAY is open to any McPherson High School student grades 9-12. There are no prerequisites required to join this amazing organization.

Five members of the McPherson High School KAY Club attended the Area 6 KAY Regional Conference on November 10, 2023 at Arkansas City High School. The club received the Gold Award, recognizing their student leadership and service to their school, community, nation, and world for the 2022-23 school year. This is the highest award clubs can earn.

The Kansas Association for Youth (KAY) is a character-building, leadership training program directed by the Kansas State High School Activities Association. This nationally acclaimed organization provides students an opportunity to learn to assume their citizenship responsibilities and to enrich their personalities through well-organized programs. These programs emphasize four areas of service: school, community, nation, and world.

The theme for the 2023 Regional Conference was "Leadership Roundup!"
