Thank you to parishioners Pat and Emmett Bauer for coming by to educate the 4th graders on Monarch and Swallowtail Butterflies, the life cycle and the food they eat. We will begin tagging Monarch here soon as they head south to Rosario Mexico for the winter.

4th grade science has been busy planting and learning about seeds, flowers and plants. We are even growing a pineapple. It may take 18 months, so cheers to trying.

The 3rd graders had a blast learning about physical changes this week!

Students explored real-life science through fun, hands-on activities. They were curious, engaged, and excited to discover how physical changes happen all around us!

We even encouraged them to “go try this at home!” — with a grown-up, of course 😉 Science is everywhere! ✨

Virtus Training will be Wednesday, Sept. 2nd, 2026 at 6:00 pm in St. Joseph’s Parish Hall. Anyone interested in volunteering or helping with our youth (ex. Our 3rd graders wrapped up the school year with a fun and educational trip! At the McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility, students learned how we can help protect the environment through recycling, reducing waste, and making eco-friendly choices.

To make the last school days even more special, our adopted grandparents joined us for an end-of-the-year visit and brought treats for the students to enjoy. It was a wonderful way to celebrate a great school year together!

To conclude the year the studies of genetics, we looked at recessive and dominant genes in our pets.

Father did his final classroom visit of the year. Kindergartners learned about St. Faustina and took a little walk listening to God.
