Two students. One graduating class. An achievement MHS rarely sees. šŸŽ“

Seniors Logan Mendonca and Nathan Weyand have both been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, placing them among less than 1% of high school seniors nationwide.

It has been seven years since MHS last had a semifinalist. Only four MHS students have earned the recognition in the past 30 years, and fewer than 10 in school history.

Hear from Logan and Nathan about the teachers, opportunities, and support that helped them get here. We are incredibly proud to see two Grizzlies earn this distinction in the same year. 🐻

We are so grateful for our communities of support that help make our academic success possible.

Inside classrooms across McMinnville, students aren't just learning new lessons. They're working to recover from years of learning loss.

Thank you to Grocery Outlet and the incredible community members who made this possible. We are so grateful to be part of a community that cares so much for our kids and families. We are stronger together. What a privilege it is to be able to serve–and now we have the ability to serve even more community members, thanks to this incredibly generous donation.

We are so thrilled to celebrate Starla Pointer of News-Register, for her first place in Education Reporting award in the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Publishing awards. Her story about our kindergarten transition camp earned her the award, and we’re so grateful for all she does to tell our district’s stories.

Thank you KATU News and Debora Knapp for sharing our story today. We're grateful for partners like Carlton Observatory at Evergreen, Outdoor Education Adventures, and Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum for providing enrichment opportunities for our Summer Learning Program. Roughly 500 students are getting hands-on experiences and honing their skills in our classrooms this summer.

McMinnville’s summer school feels like camp, with hands-on science, reading, and a mobile planetarium from Carlton Observatory. Funded by a rare ODE grant, it fights summer slide and builds fall readiness.
