🚀3-2-1 BLAST-OFF! Week 2 of our Soul Train Dance Party, we had a little space fun at Poco Music with astronauts, aliens, spaceships and stars! 🚀🪐🌕🛸✨
We experienced music by Kool and the Gang, and focused on the keyboard and brass instruments. We definitely had a funky good time! 🎹🎺🎶

🌸FINALLY sharing our grand finale - Week 6: The Symphony Orchestra! This week we explored the world of the conductor and percussion, while also getting hands-on with plenty of other instruments along the way. We read The Remarkable Farkle McBride by John Lithgow, dressed in our fanciest concert attire, and finished with a well-earned “Bravo!"🎩🥁🎻🎹🎺

⭐️Week 5 of the Symphony Session — Dr. Seuss Day! Loved seeing the creative Seuss characters walk through the door (including parents too!) This week we featured the Brass Family and played the trumpet, trombone, and TUBA too! Plus marched with "Pantukas" (tambourines) on our shoes. Oh the fun we had, in deed!
(It always brings such joy to the whole room when a child blows into a brass instrument for the first time and produces that distinctive buzz! And pretty much everyone was successful too! )🎺🩵🔴⚪️🔴⚪️🔴🎶

NEW SESSION: ⭐️🚂🪩🕺All aboard the Poco Music SOUL TRAIN DANCE PARTY! Our R&B/Hip-Hop session starts May 7/8 - June 11/12. (So exciting!)
This session is based on cool funky music and the instruments played in these genres. It also includes several fun theme days: 🛸UFO Festival, 🦸🏻♂️Superhero Day, and our annual SUPER MARIO BROS. DAY!! (Here’s a little photo dump of the cool fun we’ll have).

⭐️ Week 3 of our Symphony Session was a magical Disney Day at Poco Music!🏰💫 It was fun to see so many families connecting through music—marching, dancing, and discovering the sounds of the cello and harp together. Plus all the adorable Mickey ears and Disney outfits made it extra special!
We wish to extend a BIG thank you to Yamhill Enrichment Society - YES for the use of a 1/4-size cello!! It was so fun for our little students to play a cello more their size. 🥰🎶

🦋🌷Happy Spring! Week 2 of our Poco
Music Spring Symphony Session. In this class we introduced the strings family and played the violin and double bass.(Bravo!!) 🎻

☘️🎩Week 1: Our Spring Symphony Session opened with a big St. Patrick's Day celebration! We had so much fun with movement ribbons, xylophones and glockenspiels! We ended class playing “under the rainbow” with parachute-playtime and even found a pot of gold with coins, beads and fruit snacks!🌈☘️🎩🍯
