Book Fair started today and last through Friday, March 1. It will also be open Thursday night for Bingo for Books. We hope to see you there!

We will be selling Valentine Candy Grams Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning, and Thursday morning in the gym lobby from 7:00 to 7:30. They are 50 cents each. It will consist of a candy attached to cut out heart that can be written on. Students may purchase for themselves and friends and family. Parents who wish to send their children a candy gram may send the money in an envelope with child’s name, who it is from, and a short message. They may also drop this off at the front office. Those candy grams will be delivered to the students’ classrooms.

Bobby Ray Elementary is having a phone book recycling drive during the month of November. For each phone book students bring in, their name will be entered into a drawing for free pizza for lunch. The winner will pick 2 friends to have lunch with them. The contest will run until the end of November and 1 winner will be drawn the first week of December. Students should bring phone books to Mr. Martin or Ms. Angie in the gym. Thanks and good luck.

Update: Some Parents have asked us if their child can bring their own backpack and if they can purchase their own supplies. The answer is “Yes, of course.” We understand that some of you enjoy back to school shopping with your child and do not have this financial need. We encourage you to continue as usual! Several have inquired about making donations to ensure that this project has adequate funds to provide for all those in need. Please feel free to donate to Westwood or call for additional details at 473-8434. Again, thank you for your interest in helping our children be successful! 😊

Hello Bobby Ray Parents!

As you are preparing for the new school year, we want to let you know that Westwood Church of Christ and Tree City Church have so graciously adopted us in an effort to provide school supplies for our students. They have been given the supply lists for each grade level and will stock backpacks with those items for your child to select from on the August 6th registration. Anyone wishing to help with this work may contact Westwood at 473-8434 or Bobby Ray at 473-9006. Should you wish to purchase any school supply items as always, it is appreciated and will be used throughout the year. You will receive more details concerning this in the near future.
