At the beginning of the build season, we decided that it was our goal to qualify for Districts. It’s safe to say that we overshot our goal. We had an incredible time at District Champs this year. We placed 7th in qualifications and were the captain of Alliance 5 for playoffs. This marks the first time NerdHerd has captained an allance at District Champs. We were joined once again by the incredible FIRST Team Mean Machine 2471, along with the highly talented 1595 The Dragons and 4469 R.A.I.D. (Raider Artificial Intelligence Division). Special thanks to team 2930 Sonic Squirrels for ambushing our pit and gifting us with a poem, starbursts, and a new pet squirrel! This has already been one of the most successful seasons in NerdHerd history, and it’s not done yet. With the district points acquired from our three events, we placed 12th in our district and qualified for the FRC World Championship! Our robot, Notezart, has surpassed our wildest expectations! The Wilsonville district event went as well, if not better, than our first event. Once again, we placed 2nd in qualification rounds and were captains of Alliance 2 for playoffs. With the help of the wickedly talented 2471 Team Mean Machine and the dastardly defense of 997 Spartan Robotics, we once again climbed the ranks to become event finalists. Special thanks as well to team 753 High Desert Droids for joining us in the finals, and 1425 Error Code Xero for giving us the Most Consistent Climber Award and for hosting the event. We were also fortunate enough to be presented with the Autonomous Award! With the conclusion of this event, we now have more than enough district points to qualify for the PNW District Championship in Portland, OR. The conclusion of the Oregon State Fairgrounds district event marked one of the most successful events in NerdHerd history! We finished 2nd in qualifications for the first time in team history, and we were captains of Alliance 2 for playoffs. With the help of our incredibly talented alliance partners Team 3674 ~ The 4-H Clover Bots and FIRST Team 753 - High Desert Droids, we battled our way to becoming the finalist alliance! We couldn’t have done it without them. We were also the proud winner of the Quality Award! Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for helping make this competition a reality.

The Salem state fairgrounds competition is over now and we did great! Our robot performed nearly flawlessly and we were the first pick of the number eight alliance. And a huge thank you to and for making an amazing alliance

Our first competition at the Wilsonville event is now over, and it went great! Our robot excelled at being able to fill most (and all in some matches) of all the low nodes on our community with minimal problems! Our playoffs alliance with 2990 Hotwire and 6845 River Bots placed 4th in the whole competition, and we got 32 district points! Thank you so much to Hotwire Robotics and Astoria River Bots for competing with you in the finals, and making a great alliance! We hope to play with you again soon!

With only two more weeks until our first competition in Wilsonville, the team has been working hard to get the robot prepped and tuned for the competition! The first manipulator is being tuned and adjusted, while the second manipulator is being assembled! The team has also been getting drive practice in with the robot. Week 6 is now over, and so is scrimmage! Our robot performed quite well in scrimmage, except for some major issues we found. Besides these major issues, our robot's auto was nearly flawless, and the manipulator worked well! And thanks to Wilson Ortho for generously sponsoring the team!
