Lent season is here and there is no better way to learn than with hands on experience. Our students have been leading their own Stations of the Cross at St. James Catholic Church every Friday. 4th/5th grade led the first Friday of lent and 2nd/3rd grade led the second Friday of lent. Who do you think led today's Station of the Cross?

Our flags sustained damage due to the recent winter weather. Last week, the Knights of Columbus collaborated with us, and Father Justin performed a special blessing during the flag-raising ceremony for our new flags.

Big events don’t happen without big-hearted people. 💛 We’re looking for volunteers to help us bring this iconic weekend to life at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum.

This week our 4th/5th grade students had a special opportunity to learn about one of the Church’s beautiful sacraments in a very real way. With Deacon David having surgery this week, Father Justin led the Anointing of the Sick in front of our intermediate class so students could see how the Church prays for healing, strength, and peace.

The anointing was for Deacon David’s wrist surgery, which was successful. We are grateful for his care team and for God’s presence through prayer and sacrament.

Moments like this help our students understand that faith is not just something we talk about—it’s something we live, especially when someone in our community needs extra prayers and support.

Earlier this week we learned about Los Tres Reyes Magos (The Three Wise Men) and what they represent. Our learning session could not be complete without enjoying a piece of rosca.
