What a fantastic turnout at our park and library sites today! ☀️🥪 We loved seeing so many families and are so grateful for the continued support of our community. We are pleased to offer families local Oregon grown carrots, peaches, pears, plums and apples with their meals.
A huge thank you to our amazing partners at McMinnville Public Library and McMinnville Parks and Recreation for helping make our Summer Meals Program possible. We appreciate the opportunity to work together to provide meals and fun throughout the summer! 💚
A reminder for families: tomorrow at our park locations, children will receive two lunches and two breakfasts to help cover meals through Friday. Students receive extra meals on Thursdays because we are not at our park locations on Fridays.
Newby Elementary School will remain an open meal site on Fridays throughout the summer for breakfast and lunch service:
🍎 Breakfast: 8:30–9:00 AM
🥪 Lunch: 11:30 AM–12:00 PM

We’re excited to share that free meals for all children ages 1–18 begin tomorrow through the summer food service program in McMinnville School District!
Please read carefully as site locations and meal times are strictly followed:

All children will receive both a breakfast and lunch grab-and-go meal.

Meals at these sites must be consumed on-site and are served during designated meal service times only.

Behind every meal served in our schools is a team of dedicated people making it happen — and Josh is a huge part of that foundation. 💙
From organizing hundreds of thousands of pounds of food to coordinating weekly and daily deliveries, Josh works hard to ensure our kitchens have the ingredients they need to nourish students across our community every school day and throughout the summer. 📦🍎🥕
His attention to detail, organization, and commitment keep our Nutrition Services Department moving forward. The warehouse is the heart of our operation, and Josh helps make sure every item is ready to go where it’s needed most.

Starting Monday, June 22, children can enjoy nutritious meals at our summer meal sites — no registration required!
📍 Public Park Sites (Monday - Thursday)
Grab-and-go meals will be available for children to take with them.
📍 School Sites Operating in June
Newby Elementary and McMinnville High School will be serving meals on site:
🍽️ Breakfast: 8:30–9:00 AM

The Nutrition Services team took the Nutrition Bus to Oak Park today for the annual 8th grade field trip! 🚌✨
It was a great day celebrating the end of the school year, spending time with students, and making sure everyone was fueled up for a fun day of memories. We loved being part of this special tradition and serving our students outside of the cafeteria! 💙🍎

🍜 Did you know? Our Nutrition team makes our Asian-style noodles in-house from scratch!
These delicious whole wheat noodles are packed with flavor and provide a great source of fiber to help fuel students throughout their school day. By preparing recipes from scratch, we're able to serve wholesome, nutritious meals that support learning while introducing students to a variety of exciting flavors and foods.
Fresh ingredients, scratch cooking, and nutritious meals is just one more way we're committed to nourishing students every day! 🍎🥕🍜
