🌱🍎 Farm to School in action!🍐🥕🌶️

We pride ourselves on prioritizing Farm to School efforts and bringing the goodness of local agriculture straight to our students! Throughout the year, we purchase a variety of locally grown produce that is served fresh to students across McMinnville School District. 💚

Recently, we’ve welcomed local grapes, bell peppers, carrots, apples, pears, and so much more into our kitchens! 🍇🫑🥕🍏🍐

We love not only serving fresh, local foods, but also teaching students about where their food comes from and the many benefits of supporting local agriculture. 🌾✨

Fresh food. Local farms. Healthier communities. Growing the next generation of food-conscious students!💚

This Thursday, September 10, students will get to try ABC Whole Grain-Rich Nuggets! 🎉

We’re always excited to introduce new products and give our students the chance to taste something new. We can’t wait to hear what they think! 😋

🥕🍎 Do you know what the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program is?🍓🥦

This grant-funded program brings fresh produce to our elementary students throughout the week—offering delicious samples and fun opportunities to try something new!

But it’s about more than just tasting fruits and vegetables. 🌱 Part of the program includes nutrition education that helps students learn about the impact healthy eating habits can have throughout their lives and the importance of including plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in their diet.

We love that this program gives students the chance to taste, learn, and explore fresh foods in between meal periods—all while making nutrition education fun! 💚

We’re so grateful for this opportunity to help our students build healthy habits that can last a lifetime! 🍏

We loved learning more about the importance of school nutrition, strengthening our leadership skills, and continuing to find ways to provide the very best care for the students in our community. Most importantly, we’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together as a team.

What a wonderful way to welcome everyone back! 🎉🍎

Our Nutrition Services Department is proud to provide catering for our district’s annual Welcome Back Event, and this year was extra special as we gathered our school community together to share a delicious breakfast and kick off the new school year!

A huge thank you to our incredible kitchen teams from across the district who helped with setup and cleanup, and a special shoutout to our Catering Manager, who has done phenomenal work preparing delicious catering items for district events.

We were grateful to feature fresh, local produce from Guerrero Farms, bringing a taste of our community to the table. 🍑🌱

We’re feeling grateful, energized, and excited for a wonderful school year ahead! Here’s to a great year! 🎓✨

A HUGE thank you to everyone who received a meal with Nutrition Services this summer! ☀️🥗💚

Because of YOU, we far surpassed our record from last year and served more than an incredible 25,900 meals to children throughout our community! 🎉

We are so grateful for every family, child, and community member who joined us for breakfast and lunch this summer. It was a joy to nourish our community and keep kids fueled all season long!

A special thank you to our amazing community partners, McMinnville Public Library and McMinnville Parks & Recreation, for your partnership, support, and commitment to making sure kids in our community had access to free, nutritious meals. ❤️

🌞 It’s our LAST WEEK of Summer Feeding! 🍎🥪

We’re wrapping up another summer of serving free, nutritious meals to kids in our community—and we’d love to finish strong with you!

Stop by any of our McMinnville School District elementary schools this week (Monday - Thursday) for:

🍳 Breakfast: 8:30–9:00 AM
🥗 Lunch: 11:30 AM–12:00 PM

Our summer meals feature local produce, delicious options, and nourishing foods to help keep students fueled and thriving all summer long. 🍑🍓🌽

🍎 Free summer meals aren’t over yet!☀️

We’re serving free, nutritious meals for kids ages 1–18 at the McMinnville Public Library tomorrow, Thursday, August 13, which will be the last day of operations for our park meal sites this summer.

Our middle school and elementary school locations will remain open Thursday and Friday this week, and our elementary school locations will continue serving meals August 17–20. 🎉

Come grab a delicious meal packed with nutritious options—including local produce from our amazing community farmers! 🍓🍑🥗
