That’s a wrap on the Summer@Potomac season! ☀️ One of our favorite parts of summer is watching kids from schools across the area come together at Summer@Potomac - including plenty of our Potomac Panthers!
Thank you to the entire Summer@Potomac team for creating such an exciting and memorable summer for all our campers!

We’ve been keeping this one under our hats… 🤠
On National Day of the Cowboy, it only seemed right to finally spill the beans.
🐎 The 2026–27 Potomac Scholarship Auction theme is… Saddle Up for Potomac!
And this year, we’re celebrating 50 years of the Potomac Scholarship Auction—five decades of a community coming together to support students and faculty, and make a lasting impact.
Think vintage Western, wide-open skies, good friends, great food, and an unforgettable evening for an incredible cause.
So grab your boots, save the date, and get ready to ride. This is one rodeo you definitely won’t want to miss. 🌾✨

What better way to lead up to the 4th of July and America’s 250th birthday than with a states-themed week of posts and trivia, courtesy of our third graders’ “Fifty Nifty United States” unit and their creatively designed hats! 🇺🇸
Starting tomorrow, test your knowledge and try to identify the state using the symbols and objects on some of our third graders’ hats!

Recently, a group of Potomac students traveled to New River Valley, Virginia for a service trip! Over the course of their trip, they joined with several local organizations in service. Students began by learning about the rich history of Appalachia from students and faculty at VT Engage (Virginia Tech Engage), which included a beautiful hike! In the days following, the students worked with community partners to help out with a variety of projects, including building story boards for a new trail around the Calfee Community and Cultural Center in Pulaski, and building a fence at the Eastmont Community Garden in Elliston to help them define their new fruit orchard. Students also had the chance to enjoy some local fireworks and an evening of bluegrass and dancing at the Floyd Country Store’s Friday Night Jamboree!
We are grateful to all our partners - thank you for having us!
