Today was a little sweeter at First Steps Academy thanks to our amazing PTO, who surprised our teachers and staff with delicious donuts to celebrate!

Our dedicated educators and team members work hard every day to create a nurturing, engaging, and joyful environment for our students, and we are so grateful for all they do. A sweet treat and a little appreciation go a long way!

Thank you to our wonderful PTO for thinking of our staff and helping make National Donut Day extra special. We are so fortunate to have such a supportive school community!

At First Steps Academy, we know that our teachers pour their hearts into creating meaningful learning experiences for our students each and every day. That's why we love finding opportunities to celebrate them!

Our team recently enjoyed a fun break customizing their own tumblers and indulging in a sweet treat together. It was a wonderful chance to relax, connect, and enjoy some well-deserved appreciation.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, creativity, patience, and love our teachers bring to the classroom every day. Their passion makes a lasting impact on the lives of our students and families.

This month at First Steps Academy, we are focusing on two very important character values: Helpfulness & Perseverance!

Our students are learning that helping others and never giving up are powerful skills that help them grow both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it’s carrying something together, encouraging a friend, solving a problem, or trying again after a challenge, these everyday moments teach children the value of teamwork, kindness, patience, and determination.

Early childhood is the perfect time to build strong character and positive habits that children will carry with them for years to come. Through hands-on learning, friendship, and daily encouragement, our little learners are discovering that they can do big things when they work together and keep trying!

This Memorial Day, First Steps Academy pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️

As we spend time with family and loved ones, we reflect with gratitude on the courage, service, and dedication of those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We also believe it is important to teach our youngest learners the values of kindness, gratitude, respect, and remembrance as they grow into caring members of our community.

Our annual Trike-A-Thon benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is one of the most special events of the year! Each spring, our school and PTO come together to celebrate community, compassion, and giving back as our students ride to help children and families supported by St. Jude. From bikes and trikes to scooters and stroller strolls, every rider helps make a difference. We invite our families and friends to support this incredible cause by donating, cheering on our riders, and sharing why our students ride for St. Jude!

☀️🚗 We are ZOOMING into warm weather fun at First Steps Academy! 🚗☀️

Our preschoolers are loving every minute of outdoor playtime as they cruise, explore, imagine, and learn together on the playground! From exciting pretend road trips to practicing sharing and teamwork, these little drivers are building so much more than fun memories.

Outdoor play is an important part of early childhood learning because it helps children develop social skills, creativity, coordination, communication, and confidence — all while staying active and engaged. And when imagination takes the wheel, the learning possibilities are endless!

At First Steps Academy, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, joyful play, and meaningful friendships. Watching our students laugh, play, and “drive” their imaginations is one of the best parts of our day!
