With summer sunshine in full swing, we're looking back at one of kindergarten's hands-on STEAM projects. ☀️
Students investigated the effects of the sun's heat by comparing temperatures in the sun and shade before testing materials and using the engineering design process to design, build, and refine their own sun hats.
Along the way, they discovered how the engineering design process and creative problem-solving can lead to real-world solutions.

🤖 From the classroom to Mars, at least in simulation!
Over the course of a three-month robotics unit, third graders designed, built, and programmed Vex Go robots to complete a simulated Mars sample collection mission.
Working in teams, they applied engineering design and computational thinking as they coded their rovers to navigate the course, collect samples, and return to home base.

A look back at one of fifth grade's final science labs of the year. 🔬
To conclude their Human Body Systems unit, fifth graders explored earthworm anatomy through the "Parts, Purposes, Complexities" thinking routine. By making careful observations, asking thoughtful questions, and drawing connections, students deepened their understanding of how living systems are organized and function.

We set a goal, and, in true Langley fashion, YOU went above and beyond it!
We couldn’t have achieved this Langley Fund total without the incredible contributions from Langley's current families, alumni and alumni parents, and a host of supportive grandparents.
Thank you for believing in our students and our mission. We are so grateful for your generosity! 💙

This fall, the Class of 2026 will be attending a diverse range of independent, public, and boarding schools.
Guiding students and families through the high school search process is an important part of the Langley experience. We are proud not only of the outcomes but also of the growth and maturity these graduates demonstrated along the way.

It's been a record-breaking year of generosity at Langley, and we're not done yet!
Before June 30, we're aiming to reach 75% parent participation in The Langley Fund. Every gift helps us get there and supports the people, programs, and experiences that make Langley extraordinary.
And there's more: if we reach our goal, a generous Langley family will contribute an additional $10,000 to The Langley Fund.
Join us in finishing the year strong: https://bit.ly/4qm8YqQ

Our Leopard Cubs welcomed dads and special guests to campus earlier this month for Doughnuts with Dad, sharing time in the classroom, and enjoying a special Father’s Day celebration! 🍩
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, father figures, and caregivers in the Langley community. 🐆
