ABS Master Smith and former Forged in Fire judge Jason Knight is coming to our McKinney forge!

After teaching incredible—and incredibly entertaining—classes at our Colorado Springs shop over the years, Jason joins us immediately following Blade Show Texas for three days of hands-on instruction in forging and finishing your own Damascus kukri.

We’ll prepare your Damascus steel in advance so you can make the most of your time with Jason, focusing on your blade’s shape, fit, and finish. Want to make your own Damascus? We offer classes ahead of this course so you can start there.

Cian earned his welding certificate — and his gear!!! Great job, Cian!

We also spent some time today working on resumes, but we approached it a little differently.

First, we worked through a sample resume based on where he is today — the skills, training, and experience he already has.

Then we created a second resume for where he wants to be six months from now. From there, we worked backward and built a month-by-month checklist of the skills, experience, certifications, and milestones he’ll need to make that future resume a reality.

Goals can be documented in many different ways. This one is very job-focused: understand where you are today, define where you want to be, and then build the roadmap to get there.

I’m excited to see where Cian takes both his welding skills and his goals for the future.

Congratulations, Cian! You earned it!
