Happy Birthday to my amazing friend and colleague, Frazier’s incredible music teacher, Holly! 🎉 I am so grateful to collaborate with her and represent fine arts at Frazier together. She bring such passion, creativity, and energy to everything she does.

Not only is today her birthday, but she was just recently awarded Frazier’s 2nd Teacher of the Year—what an amazing honor and so well deserved! On top of that, she recently accomplished something so inspiring by running the Dallas Marathon!

Holly, you are truly a rockstar in and out of the classroom, and I couldn’t be more proud to work alongside you.

From our dot explorations to Miro-inspired Surrealist Doodles, these young artists have embraced the spirit of Dot Day — where a single dot can be the start of something amazing. 💫 Each piece showcases their individuality and creative expression, and I couldn’t be prouder of how they’ve made their marks!

🎃✨ Team Lead October Meeting - Pumpkin Fun! ✨🎃

I had the privilege of hosting this month’s Team Lead Meeting and couldn’t be more excited to supply the icebreaker activity! 🎨 We dove into the world of blind contour one-liner pumpkins and learned aluminum foil printing techniques to add vibrant backgrounds to our artwork. Our Frazier team leads really embraced the creativity, and their pumpkin creations turned out amazing!

So grateful to visit with one of my former students, Matthew Boyd , carrying the torch of inspiring young minds as a high school art teacher. It was a privilege to sit down for lunch and chat with him as a colleague, even if it was a short visit. I’m especially touched by the original artwork he created for me—Matthew, you are truly a unique human. I’m so proud of you and fully support you on your life’s journey. I know you’ll succeed where ever your path takes you, just like you did in my class! ☺️

🎨✨ Exciting News from the McKinneyISD Elementary Art Curriculum Writing Team! ✨🎨This past week, we had a blast putting together a brand new art curriculum. We can’t wait to unveil and implement it for our McKinneyISD Elementary art teachers in August. We’re thrilled to help build the foundations of a strong art program and continue inspire our young artists! 🖌️📚

The summer adventures of “Allie” the gator have begun! Mrs. Holderman has challenged each “edugator” at Frazier to take pics of Allie enjoying summer activities. So far, Allie has had a blast on the waterslide and practiced her golf swing. Stay tuned for more adventures!

Had a blast at our professional development day with fellow MISD art teachers, creating Wearable Tracys! The creative pipe cleaner hats inspired by Kim Ler were so much fun. Special thanks to my colleague and friend Em for letting me assist her in facilitating this PD. Can’t wait to teach this at TAEA! 😊

🎨✨ Celebrating my 20th last day of school as an art teacher and still loving every moment! Opening a brand new school made this milestone year even more special. Reflecting on the past 20 years, I wouldn’t have chosen a better profession. Inspiring kids to love and appreciate art has been my greatest joy.

A huge thank you to my amazing Specials Team, supportive admin, and wonderful parents—I couldn’t have done it without you! Here’s to year 2 at Frazier Elementary and all the artistic adventures ahead! 🎉🖌️

Feeling incredibly blessed to have been invited to the time honored tradition of a Hindu Guru Vandana ceremony! Huge thanks to our student and her family for extending the invite to Mrs. Bianchetta and I. It was a profound experience delving into the significance of Gurus in the Hindu faith. Honored to be recognized amidst such reverence. 🙏

Pipe Cleaner Drive!
On Friday, March 8th, during Specials times, we will host their 1st annual Big Art Day. Frazier students will dive into the world of creativity by creating “Wearable Tracy” hats from PIPE CLEANERS! We need YOUR support to help make it extraordinary!

It takes about 20-25 pipe cleaners per hat, and we have nearly 800 students, including staff and any parents who would like to join in the fun. That’s a lot of pipe cleaners.
