🎉 Wrapping up our Fiesta Time camp! We had so much fun creating colorful Carnaval de Río masks from Brazil, La Carreta y el Buey crafts inspired by Uruguay's Fiesta de las Llamadas, and ending the week with a special piñata celebration! 🪅

Along with our crafts, the children enjoyed lots of games, hands-on activities, experiments, and so much more while exploring traditions from Spanish-speaking countries.

A big thank you to all of our SSH families for trusting us with your little ones this week. We loved having each and every camper and hope to see you again soon! 💛

To go along with their Caballos del Vino artwork, our little campers have enjoyed a fun game of Pin the Horse! 🐴🇪🇸 A playful way to explore one of Spain's unique traditions!

🎉 Wrapping up our first week of Fiesta Time! We explored Chile's La Vendimia (Grape Harvest Festival) by creating our own colorful vineyards, pretending to stomp grapes, and learning about this special celebration. 🍇

We also had fun with our cup pattern challenge, explored more hands-on science activities, enjoyed Water Day, and so much more! 💦

🎵 Inspired by the marimba, a traditional instrument commonly played during celebrations across many Latin American countries, our campers had fun creating their own musical melodies with water! 💛

¡Fiesta Time! 🌎🎉

This summer camp theme is exploring traditional celebrations from Spanish-speaking countries! Today we started with Colombia 🇨🇴 by creating colorful silletas, inspired by Medellín's Feria de las Flores, a vibrant festival celebrating flowers, culture, and tradition. 🌸 We also enjoyed delicious arepas - a traditional favorite cornmeal dish in Colombia that is also enjoyed across Latin America. 🫓

We can't wait for more cultural adventures this week!
