Family Meet & Greet

In an effort to support our rezoned families in their transition to a new campus, we are hosting a campus meet & greet for all NEW families to the campus as well as our RETURNING families. This gives our new and returning families an opportunity to meet and forge relationships prior to the start of the school year.

Dates vary based on campus and are as follows:

Bennett: May 12, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Burks: May 12, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Caldwell: May 11, 3:40 p.m. - 4:40 p.m.
Finch: April 29, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Glen Oaks: May 14, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Malvern: May 11, 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
McGowen: May 14, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Yesterday we celebrated 25 years of memories, traditions, and student success. Our Legacy Celebration was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the lasting impact of our school community. Together, past and present staff, students, and families gathered to honor the stories, relationships, and achievements that have shaped our campus over the years. We honored our namesake, Mr. Arthur McNeil, and the McNeil Family for their contributions to MISD. Our school’s legacy will live on through the countless lives it has touched, and we are grateful for the community that has made these 25 years so special. 💙

We would like to take a moment to recognize our McNeil PTO Board for the dedication, tireless energy, enthusiasm, passion, and love that they have given to our community. We had our final PTO board meeting last week. There were some tears but mostly there were just full hearts and so much gratitude for amazing moments we have created together. We cannot say enough about how giving, selfless, and just plain wonderful these ladies are. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for all that you have done and will continue to do until our doors close for good in May. We know you will take your giving spirit to your new campuses and bless them the way you have blessed McNeil. 🐴❤️

What a glamorous night we had! Thank you to our incredible McNeil PTO for putting on such a glitzy event!

We were beyond proud to celebrate and honor our McNeil Teacher of the Year Thursday at the MISD Teacher of the Year Banquet. This event is always one of our favorites because it is an evening filled with the very best and brightest in MISD! Congratulations, Mrs. Miller, and all the MISD Teachers of the Year!

April 6 - 10 is National Assistant Principals Week, and McNeil is blessed to have one of the very best! Please take a moment to give Mrs. Garcia a hug or a high five and a huge THANK YOU for all she does for our McNeil Community! We love you, Mrs. Garcia! You add a little sparkle to every day!
