📖 This year at Wilmeth Elementary:

26,157 books were checked out
470 new books were added to the collection
5th grade had the most grade-level checkouts with 6,871 books checked out
Mrs. Maughan’s 2nd grade class had the most class checkouts with 2,735 books checked out
Our top series was Dog Man with 1,021 checkouts

🏆 Top 3 most checked-out titles:

Cat Kid Comic Club: Perspectives — 158 checkouts
Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls — 115 checkouts
Dog Man Unleashed — 110 checkouts

🎓 It’s time to celebrate our littlest Longhorns!

Join us for the Wilmeth Elementary Kindergarten Promotion Celebration on Thursday, May 14th. To ensure a smooth entry and have your check-in tags ready.
Note: If your guest has never been to Wilmeth, they will need to check in at the front desk. Be sure to have them bring their government issued ID.
MISD Middle and High School students will need their school ID.

When: Thursday, May 14th @ 9:00 a.m.
Building Entry: 8:30 a.m.
Seating Begins: 8:45 a.m.

Attention Parents & Guardians: It’s almost summer! Please remember that ALL medications kept in the school clinic must be picked up by the end of the school year.

According to school policy, we cannot send medication home with students. It must be signed out by a parent or adult.

Deadline: Thursday, May 21st by 3:20 PM
Pickup Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:20 PM
Location: School Clinic

Important Note: Any medication remaining after 3:20 PM on May 21st will be safely discarded by the nurse. No medications are stored over the summer.

If your student does not need their medication for daily or emergency use during the final days, we highly recommend picking it up earlier in the week to avoid the last-day rush!

A message from our Watch Dog Dads:
We are going to wrap this week up with our very last WatchDOGS event for this school year. We've got Donuts With Grownups this Friday, May 15th from 7:15-7:50am at Carey Cox park (playground on hill behind school).

Tomorrow is the day! All library books are due back at Wilmeth tomorrow, May 13. Please help your student do one final sweep of the house:
