Minshew will be hosting a K–5 Career Day on Friday, October 16, 2026.

Students will hear from parent and community guest speakers, and classes will rotate through career-themed stations across campus. Volunteer speakers are welcome, and we invite parents and community members from all professions to share their careers in short 15–20 minute sessions.

If you are interested in participating, please complete the Career Day Presenter Interest Form by Wednesday, Sept. 23rd. https://forms.gle/yj3hxpviBkFfGRsZ7

You must also have a current volunteer background check on file. Background checks must be completed each year. Please complete that here. https://www.mckinneyisd.net/o/misd/page/volunteer

Thank you for helping us connect learning today with careers tomorrow!

Minshew Elementary had a fantastic time at MISD's Convocation with the theme of "Game Day"! We were thrilled when Minshew's 3rd grade teacher, Brooke Hancock, was selected to kick a field goal to win $500 for her classroom! Luckily, she was able to select a student from MHS to kick the field goal on her behalf at the last minute.
