The Webb Garden got a major refresh yesterday! Huge thanks to Bruce Mead, Sharon Sovereign, Dr. Jeff Cranmore, and the many volunteers who answered Volunteer McKinney’s call. We’re excited to see our students’ excitement on Monday!

The garden is planted! The Webb Elementary family was incredibly blessed to have Preston Trail Community Church (Frisco campus) members join us to get the Webb Garden ready and planted for Spring. A huge thank you to SMC Landcare for their massive contribution and guidance. The kids will return Monday with a garden ready for their nurturing!

Who knew that on March 10th, when the Webb Dads and “Garden Gang” showed up to get the WebbElementary Garden ready for the spring we would not be back:(. Well we’re coming back! The Webb Dads will be cleaning up the garden soon to get it back in good shape for a fall/winter hang out spot and planting in the spring! Stay tuned for updates!

It’s been six months since “day one” of the garden project. The garden is full of life on a daily basis with students, plants, and insects. Although it was a tough growing season with record heat well into October and zero rain fall, the Webb garden will produce some edible veggies soon.

Webb is growing! With high 90s and 100s projected for the next 20 days it will tough but the early plantings are showing promising sprouts! Butterfly garden is up let’s hope we get some visitors soon. Pray for rain and cooler temps to welcome the kiddos back to school!
