I specialize in chemistry (regular, pre-AP, and AP for high school and General Chemistry I/II for college). A little bit about me… I graduated from the University of Arkansas in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor. I was awarded the Dean’s List in Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Fall 2015, and Spring 2016 as well as the Chancellor’s List in Fall 2012 and Spring 2016. I grew up in McKinney and graduated from McKinney Boyd High School in 2012 where I took both pre-AP and AP Chemistry. I’m the oldest of four siblings, all of whom attended McKinney Boyd as well, and tutored them in their classes. I specialize in teaching chemistry and love to inspire students learning the subject. Learning chemistry for the first time is often intimidating and very confusing to students due to the fast pace of the course and the fact that each concept builds off the prior. So, when a first-time student falls slightly behind, they are all of the sudden completely lost throughout the entire course! Luckily, tutoring can easily help students and fix their problems in class by slowing things down at the place they became lost until that understanding is established. After that, the rest falls into place because once those building blocks are there students are able to reason and apply the concepts with ease. Falling behind is not a sign of stupidity! My singular goal is to help students build their confidence, understand the material, and achieve the grade they desire!
