No better way to start the day than at MISD Convocation rehearsal!

Our MISD Theatre teachers are simply incredible! Thanks to the vision and leadership of Jeni Eberhard, our theatre team, and a partnership with Plano ISD Fine Arts, nearly 60 educators from across the Metroplex gathered for an outstanding professional learning session with renowned theatre educator Mandy Conner The day was packed with creative, practical ideas for designing cardboard creations for the stage and classroom that will directly benefit our students. Proud of this amazing team and grateful to Mandy for sharing her expertise!

For the 2025–2026 school year, only 109 of more than 1,200 eligible school districts across Texas earned this prestigious recognition.

Last year FMS Orchestra and Band independently placed in the top 10 of their respective TMEA Honor Ensemble contests. This year, their combined efforts brought home an incredible FIFTH PLACE in the state of TEXAS for Full Orchestra! The work of these students and directors is simply unprecedented. Congratulations FMS Full Orchestra!

What a showing for our MHS Full Orchestra this weekend! This is a BIG deal and incredible accomplishment. Huge congrats to MHS Orchestra and Band for this collaborative effort!
