Hi everyone! My name is Ariel Vantreese, and I am excited to join the team as a restorative coach. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. I am passionate about supporting children and helping them build the confidence to be their best version of themselves. I look forward to building positive relationships with staff and our students. Outside of work and school I enjoy traveling, coffee, and spending time with my family and my two cats.

Welcome Mrs. Claudia Cuevas to her new role. Claudia says, "Hi! I’m Claudia Cuevas, and I am excited to serve as Malvern’s Office Clerk! I have proudly been with McKinney ISD for 25 years, previously serving as a bilingual aide, and I am excited to begin this new chapter supporting our students, staff, and families in the front office.

I have been happily married for 15 years, and God has blessed me with three amazing children and two wonderful grandchildren. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to church, cooking, and dancing.

I am proud to be part of the Malvern family and look forward to welcoming and serving our Red Hawks each day!"

Welcome Ms. Irene Espino. Irene says, "Hello, I am Irene Espino, and I am incredibly grateful and excited to join the Malvern family as a Special Education Aide. Building meaningful relationships with students and their families is something I value deeply, and I look forward to creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive. I am passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of my students and helping them reach their full potential.

When I’m not at school, I love spending quality time with my three children, making lasting memories with my family, and attending church. Faith, family, and serving others are at the heart of who I am, and I can’t wait to be a part of the Malvern community. I look forward to an amazing school year filled with growth, learning, and meaningful connections!"

Is your child turning 4 years old by September 1, 2026? They may qualify for McKinney ISD's free Pre-K program at Lawson Early Childhood School.

Our team is growing with the best! Welcome, Ms. Tomayah Briggs our PE Aide. Ms. Briggs say, " Hello, my name is Tomayah Briggs. I also go by Mayah for short. I went to McGowen Elementary School. After becoming a McGowen alumnus, I finished the rest of grade school in Plano ISD. I graduated from Plano Senior High School in June 2019. I earned an Associate's Degree in Science at Collin College which further led me to earning a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology at Angelo State University, and a Master's Degree in Kinesiology at Tarleton State University. During elementary school, PE was my favorite class of the day. I enjoyed learning health related facts and playing games. I am the new Physical Education Aide at Malvern Elementary School, and I am excited to be a part of the Malvern Family."

Welcome, Mr. Gabriel Ra! Mr. Ra is our Licensed Specialist In School Psychology (LSSP).

Hello Malvern, Red Hawks! My name is Gabriel Ra, and I am thrilled to join the community this year as the bilingual school psychologist at Malvern Elementary! I hold an Educational Specialist degree from Baylor University and just recently moved into McKinney myself. What a beautiful city! My passion is collaborating closely with teachers and families to create a safe, supportive environment so that ultimately the children can thrive. Outside of school, I love playing board games with friends and rock climbing. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
