After almost 2 decades I was promoted to Black Belt in BJJ. I feel like I am on top of the world right now. BJJ has saved my life in many ways. It has been there for my happiest moments and most tragic. My coach Keiser Girao is such an amazing coach and friend...he is always tough on me, while looking out for my best interests. Thank you to all of my students at Checkmat BJJ McKinney and training partners Checkmat BJJ Dallas. Thank you to my family for putting up with my crazy teaching schedule and hard weight cuts Jennifer Wright Veale. Also, I am looking forward to No-Gi Worlds in October...now as a Black Belt. 🙏
