Many people think that if they are home, they are safe, unfortunately that is not the case. As a person who spent years on patrol responding to calls I can assure you that bad things happen in good neighborhoods. One must always be prepared for the unexpected. You don’t have to be hyper-vigilant just aware of your surroundings. Yes, you can be aware and someone still presents an unexpected circumstance but being aware also means that you comprehend what is happening is real. Taking appropriate action is needed to stop the unlawful act or actions of another. Some people are victims others are victims that took action.
