Important Updates & Reminders This Week:

Campus Visitor Policy: As a friendly reminder, all MISD elementary schools remain closed to visitors and volunteers until Monday, August 31. Take advantage of this time to complete your annual MISD criminal background check so you are cleared and ready to serve on campus and across the district as soon as doors open!

MISD Alpha Program: If your child participates in the 1st–5th grade Alpha program, don't miss out! You are encouraged to attend their "Supply & Say Hi" events taking place this week on Tuesday and Thursday, at Walker Elementary.

It is going to be an unforgettable year—thank you for being so AWESOME!

What an incredible morning! We were thrilled to welcome 843 Gators and their amazing families to our annual First day of school PTO Tears and Cheers and Flag Raising ceremony.

We can already tell it’s going to be an unforgettable year full of learning, growth, and community.

Sweet dreams, GATORS!!! Tomorrow is the 1st day of school for the 2026-2027 school year. We can't wait to see YOU in the morning!!!

🎨🎶 Celebrating Our Amazing Frazier Fine Arts Leaders! 💙💚

Join us in celebrating Frazier’s Art Teacher, Jen Foshee, and Music Teacher, Holly Bianchetta! These two incredible educators represented MISD Fine Arts at the MISD School Board Meeting as the Elementary Music and Art Team Leads.

We are thrilled to celebrate MISD being recognized as a TAEA District of Distinction for Visual Arts and a NAMM Best Community for Music Education! 🎨🎵

Jen and Holly were proud to accept these honors on behalf of all the amazing Fine Arts teams across McKinney ISD.

Eastbound Olympic Crossing Closure Update

McKinney MUD No. 1 would like to provide an update regarding the ongoing closure of Eastbound Olympic Crossing between Trinity Falls Parkway and Sweetwater.

At this time, the road closure is expected to remain in place through Monday, August 17, 2026, as repair work continues to address the roadway heaving. While every effort is being made to complete the work as scheduled, this date remains an estimate and is subject to change depending on repair progress and weather conditions.

We understand this extended closure may create challenges for residents, particularly with the first day of school at Frazier Elementary School approaching. Motorists should anticipate increased traffic, allow additional travel time, and plan alternate routes whenever possible during morning and afternoon school hours.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents and the Trinity Falls community as these necessary repairs are completed. Our goal is to safely complete the repairs and reopen the roadway as soon as conditions allow.

Additional updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
