Love is a choice. Forgiveness is a choice. Love and forgiveness is what God calls us to choose. But love and forgiveness never require us to relinquish our healthy boundaries or require us to interact with a person who has violated our trust. That's wisdom.

Sometimes the strongest families
aren’t the ones who have it all figured out

they’re the ones who keep leaning in.

Choosing patience when it would be easier to pull away.

Choosing to listen when it would be easier to assume.
Choosing love again… in the middle of real life.

That’s how families begin to flourish
not perfectly, but intentionally.

“Be devoted to one another in love…” (Romans 12:10)

We’re praying for your family today. 💛

Putting Jesus first is essential because it helps you develop a deeper relationship with Him, which is more important than seeking a spouse. When you prioritize Jesus and your faith in Him, you will be better prepared for a healthy relationship when the time comes.

Importance of Prioritizing Jesus

Putting Jesus first in your life is crucial for developing a strong foundation for any future relationships. This approach emphasizes that your relationship with Christ should take precedence over the pursuit of a spouse.

Benefits of Prioritizing Faith

Deeper Relationship with God: Focusing on your faith allows you to cultivate a more profound connection with Jesus, which is essential for personal growth.

Preparation for Relationships: When you prioritize your relationship with God, you become better equipped to enter a healthy and fulfilling romantic relationship.

Avoiding Idolatry: By placing Jesus above the desire for marriage, you prevent the risk of idolizing relationships, which can lead to unrealistic expectations and disappointment.

Steps to Seek Jesus First

Pursue God Wholeheartedly: Engage in prayer, worship, and Bible study to deepen your understanding of God and His will for your life.

Know Your Value in Christ: Recognize that your worth comes from being created in God's image, not from your relationship status.

Pray for Guidance: Regularly ask God for wisdom and discernment regarding your future spouse.

Engage with Scripture: Read the Bible to understand what qualities to look for in a partner and to grow in your faith.

Join a Faith Community: Surround yourself with other believers who can support your spiritual journey and provide opportunities for meaningful relationships.

Conclusion
By focusing on your relationship with Jesus first, you lay a solid foundation for any future romantic endeavors. This approach not only enriches your spiritual life but also prepares you for a healthy, God-centered relationship when the time is right.

Keeping your focus on Jesus first and making Him your top priority. He is perfect, never changes and will never leave you or forsake you because He loves you with a perfect love đź’ž

Facing sadness is difficult.

Instead of hoping that the unsafe person will change, we need to change. We must learn not to expect that they will change.

We have to get the courage to set limits and consequences and make tough choices that may change our relationships.

So when you feel like a failure, overwhelmed by the demands of marriage and parenting, first look to God and recall what the Bible says about your identity: "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." — Ephesians 2:10

We need Christ to help us get through each day, to be led by Him in each moment. We truly can't do it on our own. Both marriage and parenting are reflections of our relationship to Christ - so He has to be the core of both of those aspects of our lives.
