Its been a little while since we posted a group photo, and every so often we're able to get most of the camera-shy officers together for a quick photo op. This year we were able to snag this picture at the Bethel vs. Lane football game this afternoon, thanks to Myra Carlock.

Congratulations to the Wildcats on their win over the Lane College Dragons to open up the football season.

We want to send a huge thank you to Chief Brian Legons from the Greenfield Police Department for coming out yesterday afternoon for an active shooter presentation. We had the privilege of working with Chief Legons a few years ago with some hands-on training with our department and we were thrilled to have him back on our campus to talk to our Faculty as we get ready for the Fall 2026 semester.

Thank you to our awesome Title IX Coordinator, Nikki Klopfenstein, for the photo.

When the students return and the campus gets into the full swing of things, we don't often get opportunities to kick our feet back and relax. But when a comedically large chair being built in the parking lot appears, you just can't help but go and sit down and press your luck being able to actually get out of it.

Summer break is winding down, and things are fixing to start getting exciting on campus again! On August 5th, we will finally welcome our first group of freshmen and returning students on campus for Fall 2026. You might see some slight changes from what you're used to during past Move-In Days, however.

On August 5th, between 7AM-12PM, Bethel Court and the intersection of Jordan Avenue/Bethel Court will be temporarily closed off to public through traffic in order to help facilitate and welcome our new students as they move into the dorm. Because the street will be blocked off with vehicles, students, and family, no public through traffic will be allowed during that timeframe.

The temporary closure is anticipated to last from 7AM-12PM. We will also expect to have the road closed on August 7, August 10, August 12, and August 15th for Move-In Day.

We apologize for the disruption that this may cause, but we wanted to get the word out early in case you need to make alterations to your normal route of travel. Please refer to the diagram below for a more detailed look of the road closure plan.

Thank you all so much for your cooperation and Go Wildcats!

Today, we begrudgingly bid farewell to Officer Tavis Carr. A 7-year member of the Campus Security and Student Life department, Officer Carr is pursuing a new chapter in his life that is taking him away from Bethel. We couldn't let him leave quietly, though! Please keep Tavis and his family in your prayers as they venture on their new journey.

Due to lingering ice on sidewalks and in parking lots, Bethel University will remain closed on Friday, February 6, 2026. All administrative offices will remain closed during this time. With warmer weather in the forecast, we expect significant improvement in conditions across campus this weekend. Bethel will resume normal operations on Monday, February 9, 2026.

- College of Arts & Sciences – Classes remain canceled. We strongly encourage all students to continue communicating with professors concerning any missed coursework and assignments.

- College of Health Sciences – Students in the Physician Assistant and Nursing programs will receive guidance directly from faculty.

- College of Professional Studies – Online courses will continue as scheduled.

- The Vera Low Cafeteria will continue operating on its inclement weather schedule through Sunday evening. 11:00 am–1:00 pm for lunch and 4:00 pm–5:30 pm for dinner. It will resume its normal schedule at 7:00 am on Monday morning.

- The Wildcat Grill will resume normal hours on Monday morning at 9:00 am.

- Chick-fil-A has resumed normal hours: 11:00 am–8:00 pm on Friday and 11:00am–5:00 pm on Saturday. It will be closed on Sunday.

For students on campus and those traveling to campus, your safety is our top priority. Please use extreme caution on sidewalks, parking areas, and roadways that may remain frozen. Conditions vary across the area, so always use personal discretion when traveling.

We’re incredibly grateful to our Facilities, Campus Security, Residential Life, and Dining Services teams for their continued dedication and tireless work supporting our students during these wintry conditions. Your efforts are deeply appreciated and make a difference every day
